Date someone special from San Bruno, United States. I'm pretty easy-going, but deeply passionate about the things I love: time with my son, cooking, music, hiking, the list goes on. I sing to my food when I'm cooking. I'm teaching my son about the gorgeous layers of music in our favorite songs (mostly Green Day, Rolling Stones They Might Be Giants). I have a thing for strings: violins, cellos hard, driving electric guitar. I can do metal opera on occasion, but fell most comfortable with bouncy, melodic punk. :)
I spend a lot of my time in kitchens, so I try to take every opportunity possible to get out onto dirt, sand water. Nature offers myriad sources of interest and ponderings for me. Each sunrise and sunset is as unique and glorious as each new storm. Kayaking and geologic explorations fill me with new levels of serenity and wonder every time. I wish the settings here allowed for more than one odd type. I went with "about average," but my hiking keeps me fit, while my cooking keeps me curvy, LOL!
I love live music and enjoy it as often as possible. Thoroughly enjoy a good ball game too, go Giants, Niners, Warriors Sharks!
I'm really great at cooking, ordering wine (though I'm good in a beer crowd, too), issuing sass (hee!), dancing to 80s and 90s music, and discussing world history and philosophy over a Rhone or White Russian after a cooking shift. Before cooking school, I majored in both geology and world history until the bottom dropped out of government funding. I have 3/4 of a B.A. in both majors.
Things I could use some help with: shooting a cue correctly, pitching not like a girl, and finding a decent replacement for Jazz at Pearl's.

I'm also a part-time parent. I'd like to find a genuinely caring (I don't play games, well, at least not emotional ones), smart (can I learn from you?), strong (emotionally and physically), impassionated guy (have an opinion, even if it differs from mine), who won't mind sharing me with a much younger man, can take a modicum of teasing (as well as dish it out), and deal with my limited dating time. Chef's hours can be a challenge to work with. On the status - I'm nearly divorced. I mention it here because it can be an all-stop for some people. I need a great guy to look past this and trust me. I've done the transitional thing. Now I'm ready to share all the joys and adventures of life with someone whose eyes and arms I can't wait to sink into, and soar with. Have a child yourself, or two?
