I used to be a competitive triathlete, but due to time constraints and a full-time job I focus purely on cycling/mountain biking. I am a very active guy. I enjoy being outdoors and like being fit. I live by the adage that life is what you make of it and it’s all about having fun, being spontaneous and adventurous....that's where the interesting things happen and the great times seem to come together. If you are the active type then be prepared for all types of outdoor sports and adventures (from a day of beach volleyball, golfing, water skiiing/wake boarding, to bike riding through the wineries and trying new restaurants). I enjoy a good bottle of wine with some great conversation but I am just as comfortable with take out Chinese and a movie at home. Simply put, when with a person that you “click with” it really doesn’t matter where you are or what you are doing.
As I navigate through this medium of on-line dating what I am hoping to find is a woman who does appreciate the finer things in life but does not demand them. So just like everyone else I like; a great hotel, flying to exotic romantic islands, warm water and warm tropical winds blowing though my hair. A ride up the coast wine tasting. I prefer a dinner at a “one off restaurant” rather than a chain. I want to have the best there is that I can afford. But really every one in one way or another likes these things….Every one likes a five star resort. I am looking for the road less traveled. I want to try new stuff, jump from a plane, fly upside down, and hop a train. I want a friend, the one I can trust no games, a logical adult that can let loose when the time is right. I’m looking for a classy partner. We split 49%-51%, someone always has to have the final say, you have your strengths and I have mine. Integrity and Character, the most important quality’s I’m searching for.
I cook every day, no junk food or fast food, veggies, chicken, fruit, turkey… But once in awhile ribs or Tri tip with a bottle of wine. I am in good shape work out everyday, well almost everyday, and am looking for the same. I want us to live a long time, there are lots of things to do yet.

My son and daughter are grown and live in the Vancouver area. I have two grand great children, a wonderful brother, and great parents. My parents raised me to be responsible but also taught me to be maybe a little too independent at times.
I enjoy cooking and can be quite creative sometimes. When I put my mind to something, it's amazing what happens! I am very handy and I put most of my ranch together myself. I learned as I went and asked a lot of questions. Yes...I have no problems asking for directions when I get lost.
I don't make quick decisions and that has saved my little hide many times. Usually problems work themselves out the more you analyze them and plan a method to attack them. I would like a partner who can think things out and not panic easily or make decisions based on emotions. I am the most emotional when it comes to children and animals suffering. I root for the under dog and cheer the down and out when those that can help themselves do and pick themselves up.
