Date a man from California, United States. Casting a net on the internet -- how strange. It's been awhile for me. I always hated those essays we had to write in school about what you did last summer. Summarize a life -- no way. So I'll begin by telling you what I did this winter. I'm partly retired from my business (do business people ever fully retire?), and I spend part of every winter in Antigua in the West Indies. There are apartments on a nearly deserted beach that I return to each year. Egrets, horses, sheep, goats and me. Last year I was able to finally complete a screenplay there. Isolation and afternoon swims are great for creativity. This year I had company: a retired Canadian couple and a Dutch ex-pat. We all plan to return next year - God willing - so we have the beginnings of a community of self-imposed exiles. When I'm not there, I'm here, in the San Bernardino Mountains, in a little town with a little lake -- Green Valley Lake. It is halfway between Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead. Mountain like is enjoyable, but I find it necessary to go down the hill at least once a week or so to experience the offerings of the city. With all the ups and downs, I depend on my Suby. There is no problem; I'll come to you.
Who am I looking for? A friend, a pal, a companion, a lover; someone to share the thrills and spills with; someone to talk to without artifice; someone I can help to fulfill their ambitions and expectations. Do you have direction and purpose in your life? Do you think that traveling and collecting as many experiences as possible won't get in the way? I don't know what people mean by retirement. Now is the time for us to do all those things we always wanted to do. Do you agree? Would you like someone along for the ride? Someone to both laugh and be serious with? Email me.
