Date a boy from Gold River, United States. Basically looking for low-maintenance girl to go out with and have a good time.
Preferably you have a sweet seaside bungalow and ocean cruiser. If not, that's okay too but you must have a sense of humor. A certain amount of silliness is also desirable.
Meet someone special from United States. When I first got on match i thought I was looking for someone to spend my life with. Gave up on that now I'm just looking for someone to spend the night with. And If my dog eats your underwear thats on you, you've been warned.
Date single man from California, United States. The dreaded "about me" section!!! I shouldn't have to sell myself, but apparently when I moved, all the people that were beating down my door didn't get the new address, so here it goes. I'll try to be as blunt as possible without sounding too good to be true, but yet not less than spectacular..oops I already screwed that up. (I always try to come across as funny in print...never seems to come out that way, though. If you need funny go look at my pic, but looks aren't everything, right) lol failed attempt, again.
So what to say to keep you reading...but realistically, I either caught your eye by my photo or didn't (perhaps a glam shot would help...or maybe something a little stronger like a tequila shot on your part). Let's be real, aesthetics are king these days. I have a vague understanding of the psychology behind initial attraction, but wait don't stop reading now. Looks didn't do it for you? Nor humor? I could be rich. (lol sorry to sound cynical, I'm not...rich)
Alright, enough of the banter. I have a love/hate with this whole online deal. I think it is awkward, time consuming, and somewhat humiliating. I mean, I guess I don't catch too many peoples eye on here which leads me to be the proactive one...so I email and email and email some more, (cause winks show lack of confidence and a phobia of commitment) most to no response at all. And yeah, I feel creepy doing it, but I'm not. Besides I paid for this stupid thing didn't I (sorry Match, I didn't mean it). A lot of lookie loos, but not many takers. But alas, I can't spend my time feeling sorry for the ones that miss out, after all, I tried. On the flip-side, I want to meet new and interesting people and the grocery store by my house said I couldn't keep going in there 50 times a day. So I guess these are my options. Thanks Match. I want to casually get to know some new people over drinks or dinner. Many of my friends are married with kids and are just not as fun to be around as they once were, or rather they are at a different places in their lives than I am right now, to put it nicer (sorry friends I still love u). That being said, I will keep an open-mind if something more develops, i.e., I am not opposed to a serious relationship if that is where it goes, but to think every date will be with that of your soulmate, gosh, that is a lot of pressure. Sometimes dating is a numbers game girls. I mean, isn't that why we have all taken it online, to increase our visability/exposure, right? So the deal is: no pressure for you, no pressure for me. Simple. So what if I'm not "your" tall, dark, and handsome, who cares you might not be mine either, (you know what I mean) but that isn't to say we might not enjoy getting to know each other. I think you can learn a lot from others and I enjoy doing so...broadens your own horizons. Besides, think about it, I may not be your cup of tea, but some other dude from across the room sees you sitting across the table from some hot guy (me), and bam, they want what they think someone else has...classic psychology. I'll wingman it up if that's how the evening unravels. So let's go, your couch and computer will be there for you when you get back. Hell, take your smart phone and twitter at the table if you need to. I open doors, almost always pick up the tab, and am house broken (lest the door opening would be construed as too forward or were to somehow insinuate that we were not on equal footing and in which case I will defer to your better judgement.) Chivalry isn't dead ladies you are just looking in the wrong places/people.
Well, I hope to hear from some of you. If you made it this far I suppose I should thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this and even if I don't spark your interest I hope maybe you got a little chuckle out of my rant, anyway. Best of luck in all your searchings.
Josh

Meet people from California, United States. So much for finding my match here. I didn't realize it would be so hard to find someone to connect with online. I would like to thank the ladies who were polite to me, you know who you are. Good luck, I hope you find "the one". I'm just not sure this is the place to do that.
I'm laid back socially. I have close friends who are important to me. I'm not one for big parties or clubs. I like a good dive bar or a quiet restaurant. I like long walks and deep conversations. I'm a hard worker and I have a lot of ambition. I have a lot of practical experience and many areas. I have a great job and I work hard to be an asset to the company I work for. I'm always building on my education.

Meet a man from California, United States. Playful, pragmatic, upbeat; focused but easygoing. I love new experiences and spontaneity. I try to keep a good balance between the intellectual and the physical, the mind and the body. Love music and all things ocean. There's usually a smile on my face or one close by, with laughter not far behind.
I have two grown children - Son in Vegas, Daughter in Santa Barbara; great places to visit!
Travel is high on the list; locally, I love Tahoe and the coast, Santa Barbara area, wine tasting in the still uncrowded foothills. Trips to Napa, Sonoma or the City are fun, but I don't do it enough. I love the caribbean and Hawaii; never tire of the siren song of the ocean. l've been to Europe (Paris, Rome and Munich) and would loveto return soon to visit places such as Italy, Spain and Ireland. I would love to attend the French Open one day.
Things that I like to do often include bike riding, tennis, some golf, kayaking, scuba, skiing, dining out, hanging out with friends, reading, catching up on my DVR shows when I have time, attending Giants, Sharks and Kings games, and listening to music and attending live music, from jazz to reggae to rock.
I'm interested in meeting someone with shared interests, who is active and upbeat, more easygoing than not, and who wants to share in life's experiences, whatever comes our way.
At the end of the day, what am I looking for? "True Love" said Wesley. ; )
Date someone special from California, United States. I'm an inspired, passionate and romantic soul. At times, full of energy, ideas and determination. Optimistic, happy and positive are strong traits for me - and my successful life reflects that. Yet at times I can be reflective, nostalgic, introspective and spiritual. I like both places equally well. I love the simple things in life as much as I do the complicated. Cooking dinner together or watching a great old movie on the couch together give me equal pleasure to a night of dinner and dancing in the city or an evening at the Ballet here or in foreign lands. Life for me, just feels better when I can share it with someone I care for.
Looking for that beautiful slender sophisticated woman of joyful femininity and sexiness who can bring with her a authentic presence of wit and humor, lightheartedness and simple grace. Someone who is equally comfortable in jeans or evening cocktail wear, to staying in or going out, from the local fireman's pancake breakfast to dinner in Hong Kong. An independent thinker, a determined and creative doer-yet with an open perspective and the emotional health and equanimity required when dealing with changing events and storms - past, present or future. True reciprocity - not only of love and respect - but of generosity, of loyalty and kindness is a must.
Meet a man from California, United States. In a nutshell, I am well educated, own my own business, love my kids and grandkids, volunteer alot, love the outdoors and don't get enough of it, take care of myself both physically, mentally and emotionally and am looking for a life partner
my life partner should have a reasonably good appearance, have a good energy level, is personable, not moody, enjoys family and friends, likes to laugh, enjoys learning, has a variety of interests and willing to try new things, willing to give of herself, successful in her profession, healthy and fit, enjoys two way conversation, honest and no game playing- you get the picture
Date a man from California, United States. I am passionate and sincere and desire to share the fun and adventure of life with someone who feels the same way. Spending time in the mountains, both summer and winter, and spending time by the ocean, are the things that I desire to do with someone special. I love nature and I love good company. And, of course, I love--"love" - the sharing of compassion and affection.
Bottom line ------just go have fun ----time is all we have----let's make the best of it while it is still ours.
Meet someone special from California, United States. This guy is looking for a fairly independent woman who loves nature, animals, physical and intellectual activities, and travel; a woman that is sufficient by herself yet is incomplete without a good man; a woman who believes that the team of two is more important than one. I’m looking for someone who is fun to be with, who has a sense of humor and is pretty healthy with an avid interest in the outdoors. I’m very fond of any general aspect of nature.
I love gourmet camping, short backpacking trips, sitting in hot springs with someone special, romantic campfires on an ocean beach or verdant forest, sharing travel experiences to places I’ve never been with a like minded itinerant soul, and wonderful romantic endeavors, not necessarily in that order. There is nothing better than making a beautiful meal for your partner and sharing the day’s triumphs and bumps on the road of life. Traditional indoor events such as the fine arts especially symphony, opera, jazz, social events, entertaining, museums, movies, plays, and or course cooking and eating good wholesome food are the essence of life. I’m financially very secure, very healthy, self-confident, talkative, and quite happy by myself, but would like to share what I have with a life-long partner. I have no children and few surviving relatives.
It would be wonderful to engender a friendship that leads to a romance with a very special woman. She should be willing to assist in my ongoing endeavor to become a more fulfilled, complete, and self examined human being. I’m a compassionate, creative, unpretentious, no-nonsense guy with a strong sense of fair play. It’s very important that one’s partner be good at listening and being there for support, to share a laugh, or to hold hands. I have a quick wit, with a New York sense of humor, and a decent vocabulary. I appreciate functional physical things, yet I strive to lead a simple, minimally consumptive lifestyle so to tread lightly on mother Earth. I believe in working every day to improve mother earth in whatever way I can. With science graduate degrees, I worked as an exploration geochemist in the mining industry for 14 years and thereafter saw the light and went into environmental geology for the state environmental protection agency for 25 years. My Karma now is much improved. I'm now semi-retired and do consulting for the federal environmental protection agency as a licensed engineering hydrogeologist. I support animal rights.
I'm a general aviation VFR pilot and have always had a love affair for the Cessna Skyhawks. I enjoy amateur astronomy, bicycling, back packing/camping, cooking, many kinds of music, dancing, dogs and cats, downhill skiing, heavy duty gardening, motorcycling, reading, ice skating, traveling mostly within North and South America, theatre, weight lifting, wood working, and most home construction projects.
Date a man from United States. My friends would say that I'm witty and good at trivia. I like to think of myself as reasonable and fair-minded. I'm active and enjoy hiking (w/picnic lunch), biking, sailing, and weekend getaways. A perfect date might be wine tasting in Amador county (remember Napa 20 years ago) followed by a leisurely dinner and conversation...or dinner at home (I can cook) and a movie...or exploring the Sierra with fly rod and wine. I'm very proud of my two grown children and now I have twin grandkids. I'm a CPA by profession and up until ten years ago owned a transportation logistics company. Started life as a hard-core republican but have mellowed out and am liberal on many issues. I'm a pretty easy going guy who appreciates the things a loving woman can bring to a relationship. I'm looking forward to meeting you. This part is difficult. When I bought my first house I told the realtor that it had to have a fireplace...she said "fine, take a look at these." I bought the third house in the group. It was a nice little three bedroom brick and of course it had no fireplace...but I knew I liked it when I saw it and it was a great house. Go figure. So if you're a happy person with your baggage packed away and I look interesting to you then you'll probably look interesting to me. We can discuss it over coffee.
Meet people from Gold River, United States. I have an outgoing personality, although at times I can be quiet and contemplative. I am a retired training officer, so I am comfortable speaking to groups. I prefer quiet time at home to raucus parties, and I like a quiet evening out with intelligent and stimulating conversation. Long walks on the beach and hiking through mountains are not really my cup of tea. I look younger than my age and take good care of myself. I live in Gold River and am financially independent.
I am looking for a woman who is attractive and intelligent, independent, willing to share on an emotional level, and willing to give as well as receive. She should be financially secure and in good health.
