Date a guy from San Bruno, United States. Sigh, everything I wrote just got erased.. If you want to know more never hesitate to ask.
I've traveled a lot, grew up in a different state and lived in another country for a short period of time. Needless to say there are still many places I would like to go! I am known to be always smiling. Not to say there aren't things that bring me down, but I try not to ever let things bother me too much if they are out of my control.
I like to try new things, I like to try new foods constantly and I can never resist trying a beer I have never had, although the dark ones I have to say are higher on my list. Red wine is another favorite, weeding out the lest tasty and stocking up on plenty of the good wines is a passion of mine!
I love my work, and most of the people I work with. I am very fortunate in that respect especially seeing as how a good portion of my life is spent with them. Coming home in a good mood is always a bonus. I like many TV shows and movies strangely enough including chick flicks.. and I fill up a lot of my free time at work with books. Music is a must for me although what type matters little only depending on what mood I am in.
Ahhh, that's about all I can do for the moment. As I said feel free to ask anything you would like to know!
Meet people from San Bruno, United States. Hi! IРІР‚в„ўm new to this whole online thing and to be honest IРІР‚в„ўm not really sure how I feel about it, but my friends suggested I check it out, so why not? I guess for now IРІР‚в„ўm looking to meet some fun people to hang out with and if friendship turns into something more, thatРІР‚в„ўs cool.
I’m quirky, but not in a socially awkward kind of way; I work with kids and if I let go of my imagination for one second, I lose my edge—sometimes it’s hard to turn that off. I follow my heart and sometimes I get hurt along the way, but that’s life and all I can do is learn from every experience. I’m trusting by nature and I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt until you give me a reason not to. I’m a dreamer and a realist. I enjoy exploring the shades of gray in a given situation rather than defining something as black or white. I’d say my way of thinking and my personality definitely categorize me as a right-brained person, but I do cross over to the “smart” side every now and then. I enjoy a good logical debate, I’m fascinated by culture and I love exploring and analyzing social dynamics and traditions. Positivity and my own version of karma rule my philosophy on life, because let’s face it, no one likes to be treated with disrespect and I feel like it’s a waste of time and energy to get upset about things I can’t control. I’m passionate and creative because I’m an artist at heart. I know what makes me happy and I try to occupy my time by doing things I love and enjoy rather than subjecting myself to some 9 to 5 desk job (not that there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just not me!)
An honest, engaging conversation can be hard to come by, but I believe that when you surround yourself with the right people, the conversation just flows. There’s no use forcing something to exist that just isn’t there. That being said, I love to laugh. If you’re funny or you like to make people laugh, we should hang out-I’ll laugh at your jokes—apparently I’m easily amused. That’s what my friends say, but I think they are just funny. My friends would also say I’m easy-going, kind-hearted and genuine. I try not to make liars out of them.
I spend my time in all sorts of ways and I’m constantly adding things to my list of interests. I recently returned from France, where I lived (and worked) for 8 months. While I was there, I traveled a lot, so I’d have to put traveling at the top of my list of interests. I’ve been a sports fan since the moment my parents outfitted me in a baby Padres uniform (confession: since moving to the Bay Area I’ve become a Giants fan). I love all kinds of sports and it’s something I enjoy doing and watching with my family and friends. I love being outdoors—camping, hiking and anything involving water—count me in! Music is the background noise to my daily life. I’m almost always listening to music as long as it doesn’t interfere with the task at hand. I have a fairly eclectic taste in music. If I can sing or dance to it, I’ll probably like it. I particularly enjoy indie rock, singer/songwriters of the folk persuasion, country, oldies, pop, rap and hip-hop.
But enough about me…
Date men and women from San Bruno, United States. Deep breath... Here it goes.
So, yea. I am single... And I am not in a rush to be dating - I just am curious... so I am here... testing the waters. I have never done this before... so bare with me. (Yikes!!)
I guess you can say I am an old fashioned girl who is looking for a man's-man. I don't have the time or patience for games and all that nonsense... so boys... please go away. I tend to be a bit more on the sensitive-serious side, with the ability to laugh and deeply love. I am not the club and bar-hopper type... but I like to enjoy time out and about.
I have strong convictions but value hearing other opinions and perspectives. I do not believe in "convictions and opinions are meant for preaching"... Ugh! I hate that!! I think discussions and conversations are wonderfully complex and crazily beautiful things. So... bring it on! The conversation that are taboo and typically forbidden at any kitchen table are always welcome at mine and my family's... those are always the most interesting conversations. Right??
I am the second eldest child of ten (seven girls and three boys)... so my mothering and nurturing skills are innate and deeply rooted. (I guess that is why it is no surprise that I have spent four years of my adult life teaching and three additional years nannying.)
Moving on to the land of the impossible - I am a project manager for a construction company. My family's company to be exact... but I am definitely in a man's world... (Hopefully not forever.) I love what I do and I know I am good at it. I, however, will not let the man-dominated industry change my girly ways... and if it did... that would be the ultimate sin! So dresses and heels are a must for my uniform.
I think the biggest joy of life... is being able to live your life unselfishly... To give of oneself whole heartedly and without second guess or thought is a gift not many share. I have no tolerance for selfishness.
I hope to find someone who shares some of the things I have mentioned among the page here and within the text.
If you meet the following... please read on:
1. You don't do drugs
2. You don't smoke
3. You are family oriented
4. You are kid-friendly (I am the second oldest of ten... remember?)
5. You enjoy cooking... so we can cook together (sometimes)
6. You like vintage cars (muscle cars and rat rods) or at least have that general interest...
7. You know who you are and aren't here to change anyone...
8. You like the vintage pin-up look (hint, hint - that is me... not all the time of course... just look at my pics I guess. Haha)
9. You are honest (I dated a liar and don't want to ever do that again!!)
10. You aren't scared of commitment
11. If you make a promise... you follow through with it
12. You are consistent and dependable, trustworthy and caring
I could list more... but I guess those ones I can figure out if you message me! :)
I love being social, with my family and friends... but I don't have the need to go out all the time. I think going out all the time tends to weaken the meaning of being able to spend that special time out.
I have over 100 pairs of shoes. If you don't like this. I am sorry... I am not materialistic... I just haven't grown since I was in high school and take immaculate care of my things. Lol.
I wear heels almost everyday... and I am more a skirt and dress girl... than a pants and shorts girl... always have been and always will.
I like to wear feathers and flowers in my hair (see above... hint, hint...)
Natural humor is the best way to laugh. Anything forced is awkward for everyone!
I don't drink coffee.
My comfort smell is saw dust. (I have a theory about this...)
I am not offended by the saying, "Women belong in the kitchen - barefoot and pregnant." (Another theory here if your interested...)
Well... I think that about sums it up (for now...) If you think you may be interested... send me a message.
