Date a soulmate from California, United States. -----I don't kiss on the first date, so don't make things awkward for both of us.-----
It's close to sunset. The only thing you were told about the evening was, "Wear a nice dress, heels, and bring a jacket." Your date shows up wearing a suit, pressed shirt, and no tie. You ask yourself, "Where can we be going?"
"You look nice."
"Thank you." I say. "We match. Good job."
We get in the car and are out for the night. You loose yourself talking about your day, when a theatre billboard catches your attention. It's the latest attraction that everyone has been talking about.
"I've been wanting to see that show." you say as the car is parking.
In a teasing way, I say, "That's nice..."
We get out of the car. I take your hand and lead you through crowds of people, lead you to the theatre, and pull out two tickets for the show you just mentioned.
"Is this what we're doing tonight?" I smile, and you smile with your eyes.
We find our seats and the lights dim. The crowd roars, the music plays, and the show begins. We laugh, you cry, and we have a great time.
Hours later we leave the theatre. It's night and the air is crisp. I help you with your jacket and walk around the town. We pass by a quiet wine bar.
"Just one drink?!" you ask.
"Are you trying to get me drunk?" I joke.
A bottle of wine later, we are laughing and joking. We walk off our wine while you talk about yourself. I listen and learn what makes you tick. As we are walking through a park, you go quiet and look in my eyes.
"Stop looking at me like that."
"Like what?" you ask.
--That's all you get right now
Have you had a date like that recently?
We should talk
Meet single man from California, United States. Most say I'm a nice, pretty easy going guy... who likes to enjoy life and have fun. Such as... traveling, sporting events, concerts, a good movie, going out to dinner and drinks, weekend getaways... just to name a few. Over the drama and games ladies. If you would like to know more about me or even meet... don't be shy... e-mail me. Never know where it may lead...
Date a man from California, United States. Fun loving person. Enjoys people and looks for the best in them. I work hard and love my career. I want to meet a woman who enjoys sports, the arts, traveling, who is honest and whom I can spoil as well as she spoils me. I am a man who tries to live life to the fullest. I can get dressed up and go to the Opera or I can sit home in my jeans watching a dvd with someone I enjoy. I want someone who is flexable with their time. willing to get up on a monents notice and also who is willing to help plan a wonderful trip. I enjoy women who are girly girls but who is not afraid to get involve with sports. She must be affectionate and very loving. I also enjoy women who can carry a conversation about all different topics. Cooking isn't that important but she does need to know how to fix a special meal now and then. On the other hand I love to cook for friends and family and that special someone. Looking forward to hearing back from you. I will do my best to answer all emails.
Meet single man from United States. I think I'm a bright, often interesting, sometimes witty, guy who is rather traditional. I lived with my parents until age 18, and then moved in with my wife-to-be. Was divorced in 2006, creating the odd circumstance of going out on my first "adult" date in my 50's. I still open doors, walk on the street-side of sidewalks and pay for dates.
I like watching most sports except for soccer. Just can't adjust to watching 20-odd world class athletes playing their hearts out for 90 minutes with the intention of preventing anything from happening.
Now that I've probably done a not-very-good job describing myself, how can I describe "what I'm looking for?" Attractive and interesting would be nice, but any woman is attractive to the man who cares for her. I know it's a cliche, but I still think kindness, loyalty and the ability and availability to love are pretty timeless and as important as ever. I enjoy discussion while on a road trip or at a restaurant or at home watching a movie--or some DVD--or going for a walk. Or best, going for a walk in nature or relaxing on a beach (especially tropical). But deserts have their points as well, and there is much of the US I have yet to see. With the right partner, it's all fun, it's all fulfilling, it's all an adventure, and we'll see together where that takes us.
Finally, though one can never know where a first date will lead, I'm no longer looking at dating for dating's sake. Ideally, the first date becomes one that leads to a friendship and that ultimately can morph into a long term relationship.
Date a man from California, United States. The options don't include stock market watching or "tea" rather than coffee, or walking my Golden, so I'll insert them here. I'm not really legally separated. I have slept in a separate room for 15+ years. Haven't had relations with the mother or our two children since Sept 91 when our last daughter was conceived. Loved the 680 corridor in the East Bay where I used to work-Didn't want to move to SoCal - missed my girls too much. We live separate lives except for the business of raising our children and now that they both are away at university, I have a bit more personal time available. Except that I'm the prime care giver to the family puppy who is a sweetie. She is non-judgmental and totally loyal. She is really not demanding, has a great bladder and doesn't eat very much for a large breed dog. She has a great temperment compared to the male Golden we had before her. Now you know more about me. My girls have photos of me on their FB pages, but I don't subscribe. If you still feel like chatting... I am well educated, respectful of women, don't like to be patronized, not fond of sarcasm. Like mid-west values, hate Chicago politics, question self-righteous SF left coast loonies and Nanny-state thinkers. Enjoy home projects.
A nice woman, who takes care of herself, is self-assured, 5'3" - 5'7" tall. Open minded and not set in progressive left wing land. As for "a little patient", I can be patient but I don't suffer fools gladly. As for "a little romantic", I used to be and can be when in pursuit, but there is no one to practice with in my current situation so that "gene" is in hibernation waiting to be awakened by the right person. I appreciate smart capable resourceful and responsible people. What can I say? I like conversations, not arguments. I enjoy happy smiling faces. Not a Pollyanna, but a pleasant positive outlook would be nice.
Just to clarify, I have cooked since I was young, owned "Joy of Cooking" since I was 19... but I would enjoy preparing a meal with someone special, like I did when I was single and dating. Of course it was romantic, how can feeding each other not be romantic? But as time goes by and I am fending for myself most of the time, just me and the dog 90% of the time..., the microwave has become the best invention of all time...ha ha ha. Side note: I'm surprised how many profiles indicate they smoke. Even if it is "socially" I'm very sensitive to smoke, over-the-top perfume, etc. Thanks for your interest, but I likely will not reply if you are not in California, Western / Mtn. States, Toronto, or Vancouver. No humidity. Yes, I'm Cdn.
As you may have seen from the recent photos, I did find a little two seater sports car. It sure makes my heart pump faster when I drive it - that was the excuse I gave the nurse taking my vitals before my check up with the doc last visit... I forgot how much attention one needs to give to the simple task of driving! The clutch work came back easily after 26 years - since the last time I owned a 2 seater sports car, but I really have to stay attentive all the time, (I'm the "automatic" transmission, now.)
Meet someone special from Villa Park, United States. Alright here we go....
So I have been on this website for a few months and have not found exactly what I am looking for so I will spell it out for you guys..lol. I am a very honest person, perhaps sometimes too honest. I do not like the way dating has become some weird game where you have to pretend to be busy and not available. If I want to hang out then I say it and make it happen. I love to be silly and I will try anything once. I will let you pick the movie or the restaurant because I do not have to be in control all the time and I like to know that you can make decisions too. I love scarey movies and staying in just as much as going to the beach or maybe out for a hike or even a night on the town. I like to work out...actually its more of a love hate relationship...but I do run at least 2 miles a day. If you have corny jokes then I am all ears. I am very sarcastic and I am looking for someone that can dish it right back :). This might sound strange coming from a girl and I swear that I am telling the truth but.....I LOVE SPORTS!!! lol. I like going to sporting events or going to a sports bar...honestly i love it. I do have to say though I am not going to deny some girly things too because I am very girly. From the few dates that I have had I hear that I look like my pictures so if you are interested then hit me up!
Date men and women from Villa Park, United States. I am a personable, passionate, secure, charming one-man woman, and enjoy a fantastic night out or a fantastic night in. . . looking to share all the goodness of life and love with a terrific, active, and romantic man. Happiness and spontaneity of life are enhanced when you can experience that magic atmosphere of a special relationship. To see the twinkle in a man's eye and know that it is for me, and for me to respond in the same way--this is the beauty of caring about someone!
I am a Michigan gal with traditional values, had a very normal Father Knows Best upbringing, charmed by California, have a Midwestern work ethic and a love for family and travel. Want to come travel with me? I particularly enjoy live theatre and concerts, the beach, the water, dancing, movies, sporting events. Cooking and entertaining are favorite activityies of mine, ranging from candlelight dinners to having friends over for margaritas. I walk nearly every day for 2-3 miles. If I can do it by the ocean, even better, but my neighborhood is the next best place. Nature trails work too.
I have a wonderful daughter who lives in Seattle with her husband and 3 dogs, who I see often. She was born in Hawaii where we lived for 11 years before moving to CA. I still have family in Michigan and try to visit there frequently.
Though I have accomplished many good things in my life and I consider myself very fortunate, it can be so much better to have a great guy to enjoy it with. How terrific to create new experiences, new memories and to have the thrill of a new relationship. You never do know what life has in store from one day to the next, and I think it is time to seize the day!
My pictures are current as of May 2012. If you have read my profile and are interested, I want to know more about you. I am flattered to be sure! Please send me a note rather than just a Wink! I'd like that.
