Meet someone special from Santa Monica, United States. Ok... Well my good friends keep finding happiness and I've seen the commercials, so its time to explore this whole internet thing. LA in all its grandeur is full of people, and great, beautiful, sexy, romantic, ones at that. The problem being, I may need someone to help point where they are. I am still learning that timing is everything? Had to learn that lesson the hard way. Better to figure it out now I guess.
So let's chat. I usually don't like putting me first but in this case I'll lead. So... lots to say without saying too much. Have a good job, work hard at it, play a lot too.
I'm a pretty focused and ambitious guy and have had some luck in the working world. I'm a fan of media, which is where I've been able to grab a high level position at a cable net. I tried technology stuff, a consulting gig, cleaned toilets, and was even a sandwich artist for a minute too. I'm a big fan of liking what you do because it makes for a happy and hungry person. The other big side of life is great too, but as much stuff as I try to cross off; it seems the bucket list is only getting bigger.
These joints have held up through 5 marathons, and I may have to go back for sixths. My hobbies lend to my independence. From learning to ride motorcycles, grabbing a boat off of craigslist to see if I could sail to Catalina, sucking at the guitar, snowboarding, backpacking, collecting great wine, golfing with dad, or just working on my broken Spanish for the next trip.... life continues to be an adventure and I wouldn't have it any other way. It makes me appreciate even more the chance to stay home, make a great healthy dinner with a new bottle of vino, throw on the Lulu sweatpants, and count the days 'til the next Coachella. With some luck I've been able to get to 4 continents and can’t wait to go back to each. The family is solid and a huge part of my life. I'm fortunate to have parents who often double as cheerleaders, friends, mentors, teachers, and extra shoulders to cry on. Having grandparents who helped me grow up in Dodger stadium and a mother who went into labor with me at the Forum during the Kings game, sports definitely plays into the equation, too.
Wow, way too much but maybe not....
SO! For all the great things life has given to this guy, one thing that has become so obviously missing is the partner in crime to share it with. While I learn more about what it is we're after every day, these are the things that seem to be the essentials.... security in yourself, independence, beautiful inside (and that usually translates well to the outside which is important too), athletic, clever, and the ability to lose gracefully at sudoku 'n scrabble.... (seriously guaranteed to be our first fight otherwise).
So, alas, I'm figuring out happiness is great but better shared.... and that's where you fit in? We have a lot to do!

Meet men and women from California, United States. I've been known to foot-race scorpions for sport. I host a Wednesday night no-holds-barred bear v. alligator wrestling match in Southeast Hollywood. It's a round-robin event, and it’s very tastefully done. There’s a red carpet and plenty of Zima.
My diet is primarily pop rocks and captain crunch, which I have a love/hate relationship with: I love the crunch, but I hate it when I’m watching TV and the delicious crunch is so loud I can’t hear the television over it.
I don’t really buy into the whole aliens thing, instead I’m bettin’ that in a distant future we will be the ones to invade some weak peaceful planet to subjugate them for some awesome reason… because we’re awesome. Hopefully I will be president when that happens. Oh… I should mention – by then I pretty sure that the office of president will no longer be elected, it will instead be decided upon in a round-robin scorpion foot-race event. I like my odds.

I consider happiness a blend of ingredients that is unique to each and every one of us. Some we can find on our own (careers, schools, travel) and others we leave to the mysteries of “chemistry”. I have found my dream job, learned from great mentors, and I’ve lived in many remarkable cities…and I am now ready to let those chemical mysteries work their magic. Which I guess brings me here. I will take my best guess at how my friends would describe me which would be easy going, fun, caring, patient, confident but humble, loyal, and an overall "good guy". I enjoy quality time with friends and family, fine dining, sports, movies, going to the gym, good tv (not much lately), and travel. I am a healthcare investor by day, but also have private investments in town which I really enjoy. I don't think describing my perfect woman is all that productive....if it clicks...it clicks.…..sounds easy enough, but I am sure everyone reading this knows exactly how challenging it can be to find the subtleties of such a simple concept. I enjoy the company of people who are honest, fun, thoughtful, and self aware. I hate to admit that I am pretty picky...but I am, more because I know what I am looking for and don't want to waste peoples time. Getting out of town for fun a big part of who I am. I was fortunate enough to travel through South America with my brother and a friend for two weeks last summer. While there, I camped at 14k feet in a bit of a winter storm, I ate cuy, and balanced on a narrow boat in chum-filled water while a piranha flipped about the deck. When there's a good travel idea floating among my friends or brothers, I'm usually the first to sign up. Coming up: climbing Mt Whitney next month with friends, and meeting my brothers at a 'dude ranch' in CO in August. We've already explored every "bro-back" mountain joke, imaginable.
I work in the tech world and I live and breathe all of that nerdy goodness. I'd also say exploring the LA food scene and my self-taught stab at photography have become newer hobbies in the last few years. Similarly, I am drawn to women who are engaged and passionate about her profession or hobbies. Read: I'm always game for learning something new/interesting.
