What's one of the things I most value? One word: time. I've been humbled enough by life's moments (both good and bad) to realize how precious time is. In other words, let’s break this down with an example... (1) I might hold the door open for you at a restaurant. (2) If there's a guy following you, I'll stop him from getting a better table than us by punching him in the face. (3) If there’s a guy following that guy, I’ll wind back my arm to punch him in the face, too... but then stop myself and think, “You know, this guy seems alright. And I don't want to be known as 'that guy who punches faces,' so I’ll let him through the door pain-free."

I delivered the Best Man toast at my best friend's wedding. I told a few stories of youthful mischief, and capped it off by unveiling a torn and tattered paper bucket from Kentucky Fried Chicken that I’d saved since we were kids. (Long story…) That day says a lot about what's important to me: celebrating the past while always living in the moment. Too cliche? Next time I’ll work in a reference to face-punching.
What am I looking for in a woman? Well, I have high standards because I've been fortunate to have some of the world's greatest women as friends and family members... I'd love to add you to this pantheon of greats. I'm captivated by self-aware women with a balanced, “centered” energy. A woman who projects patience and poise: a smooth, easy, unforced energy that is both comforting and intoxicating. Similarly, I love people who show grace under fire... someone who has perspective, keeps it positive, and doesn't sweat the small stuff.

An idealist at heart, I am a sucker for romance and grand gestures of a movie-making echelon (Lloyd Dobler and his boombox--absolutely romantic), but I am also easily delighted with small gestures of kindness and affection, like opening the doors for other people. On most days, you can find me in my cubicle, where I work my marketing skillz (yeah, with a "z") while I entertain myself, listening to funny podcasts like Kevin and Bean on KROQ. These last couple of years, my weekends have also been taken up by work, but I'm doing a better job of leaving my skillz at work. When I am not taking work home, I hike, visit museums, and go to the thee-A-ter. I really am not as hoity toity as I sound. Mostly, I hang out with friends and family. I love to travel and to photograph the places I've been. So far, I've windsurfed in Mexico; hiked in Arizona, N. Carolina, California, and Chichen Itza; visited churches and mosques in Rome, Istanbul, and Barcelona; cruised down the Nile and saw the pyramids; found the Holy Grail (at least where Indiana Jones found it); fed and ate kangaroo (not the same one...I think); and got myself properly pissed in London. It's important to me that the person I am with also likes to travel and is patient enough with me when I turn into the stereotypical Asian tourist, taking a million and one pictures.
Basically, the perfect match for me would be someone who can be both young and old--someone who is responsible, plans, and knows how to take care of himself and his partner but also someone who can be chill and spontaneous and wants to do the fun things in life.
