Of course, physical attraction is important but not everything. I am attracted to all different types of women. I could probably spend a lot of time writing an amazing description full of wit, deep insight, and transcendent humanity, but I won't because I'm not that smart.
I was born and raised in Chicago, attended college in New York, and spent the first six years of my life after as an Army officer. I left the Army in '06 to attend business school in California, graduated in '08, and moved to the City of Angels. (and by "Angels" I mean traffic and roadside produce)
I'm very active, love sports, love to travel, and I enjoy trying new things. A woman who I'd like to spend time with would need to hit at least three out of four on that front. While I dislike high maintenance girls, I do appreciate a person who takes care of herself. I also respect intelligence and education; however, I don't think one necessarily implies the other. As for a sense of humor, she need not be Sarah Silverman; however, laughing at my dumb jokes would be appreciated. I went to Spain back in 97 to go on a year-long study abroad program, fell in love with it, and ended up staying there for 13 years. (Oh, I spent a year in London, too.) -I adore my family. My friends often referred to us as "The Cleavers." :-) My parents gave me a childhood that most kids could only dream of. Their weekends were spent cheering me on at my sporting events-- and if I happened to have a weekend off, they would find other ways to have some quality time together. (art and historical museums, picnics, long hikes in the woods, gardening, BBQs...)
-My brother, who is two years older, is still my idol and best friend. :-) Looking back, I am sooo thankful they made sitting down at the table as a family, for breakfast and dinner, such a priority. That is where a family becomes "a family." :-)
I hope the part about being "divorced" doesn't scare you away from sending me a message. I'm not a conflictive person, I just had bad luck marrying a Spaniard. Unfortunately, he had personal problems that he could not overcome, even with my loving support.

Fitness is my career, and a huge part of my life. I'm not gonna lie - if you're a CrossFitter too, you've already got major bonus points in my book, but it's not mandatory. However, someone that puts effort into their health and fitness and takes care of them self is a must.
I love to travel, whether it's a big vacation or a quick weekend trip. And, I feel like there are still so many places in CA that I have not yet explored. I'm looking for a travel companion.
