Music has always been an important part of my life. I've played the drums since I was 15, and I currently play in an original band that doesn't really sound like anyone out there, but has some dub/funk/hip-hop flavors to it with a bit of a dark/political edge. I still play music because I love doing it but I no longer have a desire to do it professionally. Our band rents a rehearsal studio where we write and record but we don't really play many live shows anymore. It's just not worth the work that it takes if you're not famous with roadies who do all the heavy lifting, so I have a 9:00 to 5:00 job instead. I love my 9-5 though, which helps me to be successful at it. I have mastered the art of keeping my personal and business lives separate. Once I go home for the day I tend not to even think about work at all.
Staying fit is important to me so I run, ride bike, hike, and do an hour long workout class three times a week. I try to eat healthy and lean towards a vegetarian diet but I'm not strict about it and I love going out for sushi. I'll eat meat if it's served to me but I don't cook it at home for myself. I'm an adventurous eater and love trying out new restaurants of all ethnic varieties.
I am a social person and like to be with people but when I am in a relationship I am just as happy to stay at home alone with my partner. I am a nurturer by nature but would like a mutual relationship where we know we can both rely on each other for emotional support. I like to keep an open mind about things and that includes relationships so I don't really know what the "perfect" match for me is and probably never will know until I find her.
