I am an extrovert and love the social aspect of just about any sport. Tennis, skiing, running, and hiking are the sports I enjoy most. Golf and volleyball are the two that I'm sure I'd enjoy more if I could play them better. I've competed in two triathlons and I'm working up to my first 1/2 marathon, and after that I hope I'm ready to commit to a marathon. We'll see how I do or if it's actually any fun.
I love a good tailgate party, a game night at home, or just hanging out with friends or family and talking over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. When I'm on my own, I read, watch some good tv (I admit it!), and I like to write letters. I get satisfaction out of addressing and then sticking a stamp on an envelope. I especially like thinking of how it feels to open your mailbox and see a hand-written note waiting inside. I remember birthdays, anniversaries, phone numbers, and a lot of trivia that makes me good at game shows.
My family is very close-knit, and I am the youngest of 6 kids (3 girls/3 boys) born within a span of 8 years. I was born in Southern California (Palos Verdes) and grew up in Fresno. If you've ever heard of Fresno, you probably know that it's the raisin capital of the world and the butt of many jokes -- but I loved growing up in Fresno and like to call is Fres-yes!
As far back as I can remember, our house was full of people and activity. My parents made sitting down to dinner together a priority, and it wasn't uncommon for friends and extended family to join us. I had a wonderful relationship with my father (he passed away several years ago) and I learned a great deal from him about honesty, integrity, trust, and humility. My parents were married almost 40 years and were absolutely crazy about each other. I can't imagine better role models for marriage and parenthood.
I always imagined that by now I'd be a wife and a mom, but for now I love being the "fun auntie" to my 4 nieces and 5 nephews. They live in LA, Phoenix, Fresno, and New York, so I don't get to see them as much as I'd like. I'm especially close to my two nephews NY, and I visit them every time I go to NY for work (every month or so) and carve out time with them every summer.
I have a solid career that I enjoy, wonderful friends and family who I love, and a strong spiritual faith that gets me back on track when I forget what's most important in life.

Meet a soulmate from United States. I love my work, my dog and my life. I would also love to meet a nice guy who would like to go out and have a little fun now and then. A good man with a big heart and solid character who is a man, not a boy, is my type. Me? I'm a pretty mellow girl-next-door type. Not a huge party-er in any sense. I'd rather get up early and hit a farmer's market, take the dog to the beach and come home and cook a gourmet breakfast or take a ride down the coast and get some fresh air. I feel like, at this point, I've got it pretty much together. I try to travel somewhere internationally every year and go to Yosemite late summer, but my career has me super busy and that's ok, because I love what I do.
My all time favorite movies are, Better off Dead, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Sweetest Thing and A Room with a View. How about that for a broad spectrum? What are yours? Musically, I listen to almost anything other than opera and heavy metal. I like music that paints a story and no matter the genre, the lyrics are usually what draw me in. And of course talent, which means 75% of what I listen to is not going to be played on mainstream stations.
I am in search of the best cup of gourmet roast coffee in the Bay Area, wanna help? Thus far Blue Bottle has it hands down, but I'm open to suggestions and would love someone to go tasting with.

Everything is great until you look up and see you have built this perfect life but it's just missing one thing and alas we find ourselves here or some other form.
