I'm open, honest, and approachable, hard working, and happy. Having learned some life lessons and grown as a person, I'm ready to move forward and really enjoy life with the right man. I'm always looking at myself, finding ways to be a better person each day. I was blessed to be able to raise two children (ages 26 and 18) mostly on my own. I believe that service above self is important, so give a lot of my time to volunteering through my church, my company's philanthropic efforts and my Rotary club. My family is very important to me, and I consider my friends my "chosen family." I go to church on Sundays, and attend Bible studies (I'm an avid learner and I never saw a Bible in Catholic school, so I'm sort of playing catch-up). I'm a Colorado girl transplanted to San Diego 30 years ago, and though I love cities, I'm still a small town girl at heart. Growing up, I loved ruffles and dresses, but invariably had dirty hands, feet and knees; and my dad would ask if I used an egg beater to do my hair. I'm still pretty much like that. I love to put on a dress and sandals and feel pretty; but don't bat an eye at getting dirty, or leaving the house with bedhead and no make-up.
I've got three dogs - my boys! - all of whom were rescued from shelters. They light up my life and there is no way I could wake without a smile on my face with those hooligans wagging their tails and asking for a walk. Other than walking with the dogs, I love to move my body through dancing (mostly in my living room) yoga and swimming. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to cold water, and stick only to that black line in a blue pool during winter. But La Jolla Cove on days it reaches the high 60's and up (a girl can dream) is heaven on earth and magical in so many ways. This year, I'm planning to knock a couple of things off my lifetime wish list - hang gliding off Torrey Pines and trying my hand at an SUP. I love sharing time with friends, poetry, reading books, cooking (and even more...eating!), sipping wine, traveling, and being in nature, laughing. I enjoy music of most every genre, and sing at the top of my lungs, though some folks (my neighbors?) probably wish that I wouldn't.
After a lifetime working in the corporate world, I was able to take a year off from the daily ins-and-outs of business. I traveled, rested, gardened, and found real joy in my own nature and rhythms. From the open landscape of that time, a seed of an idea for my own business sprouted and I am having so much fun doing work that is aligned with my innate gifts and abilities.
Life is really good. Sharing this journey with a lover, friend and partner would make it so much sweeter!

I'm at a great place in my life--I enjoy my work, have a good work/life balance, financial stability, own my home, and am always working on some project. Know my way around Home Depot, Lowe's and the swap meet as well as name-brand stores and fancy boutiques. I have the freedom to travel and can make last-minute plans easily--my passport is always ready! Did things the non-traditional way--had my children early then worked on professional goals later...which means they are now adults. They are close-knit and independent, living in Phoenix, Orange County and LA, so making that drive is not a big deal to me.
I thrive on trying unique activities or things I haven't done before. There aren't any cuisine/foods I won't eat and I have tons of favorites--and while I am a self-admitted foodie, I don't eat large amounts. It would be cool if you like sharing--that way we can try a couple of things! Have exercised my whole life and maintain my weight at about 10 lbs. more than when I was 19. I naturally gravitate toward a healthy lifestyle and would like someone who does the same. I am a night owl and don't sleep that much--also enjoy early mornings. I like working out and feeling that soreness the next day or two and doing physical activities, but also like to be lazy and just hang out--watch movies, enjoy a glass or two of red wine (I make an awesome sangria!), listen to music (live and recorded) and paint (not houses). Quiet times are nice too . .
