Date single man from California, United States. I'm an active upper 40's guy just getting back into the dating scene after a long relationship. Unfortunately, it is a bit difficult getting back into an active lifestyle after about 5 years off, so if you don't enjoy being active, and only do it because you think you have to - we probably aren't a match. If I have nothing to do on the weekend, I'd just soon hop on my bicycle and ride somewhere new. Or drive somewhere and walk around - just to be out, and explore.
I'm looking for a working professional woman (unless you are independently wealthy and retired - HA!) who still understands what it is like to be there for her man. I gravitate towards slender women with long dark hair, but this is more of a guideline than any rule. If you like to wear heels and skirts, it is a big plus, although I range from flip flops to sport jackets in a matter of minutes (I rarely ever wear a tie any longer).
Unlike most men in Southern California, I'm not necessarily a fan of aftermarket body parts. I prefer great legs and a great backside over an exposed chest (and larger is not better in my opinion), but it is a generally happy and positive woman with a great smile who loves to laugh that really catches my eye.
Bitterness and cynicism can just be checked at the door. I'm not looking for someone trying to fit a specific type into her life...but rather, someone who simply wants to have fun, perhaps expand to her existing family (or have some of her own finally), and enjoy the world. I enjoy comedy clubs, the movies, and riding bike - and if while I would not call myself a "biker", I do have a motorcycle that is fun for the occasional weekend cruise.

So… if you’re still reading, here’s the deal.
I just finished a nine month project in Oregon traveling the state in a 5th wheel, working on post offices. I have committed six months to remodeling her house, before I pull up anchor again, and leave this synthetic wasteland for the Western slope of the Rockies, where I plan to buy land and finally build my own home.
It would be great, however difficult, to find an Intelligent, interesting and fun loving woman to spend some quality time with while I am here. I am not looking to “hook-up” I have outgrown that in my life. In fact I would be perfectly happy to begin with a friendship, and see what develops. I am reasonably well educated, and enjoy stimulating conversation; however I have no real interest in politics or current affairs. I don’t believe that anyone can change the world, but we can all make our little corner of it a better place to live. I am honest to a fault, enjoy laughing at myself often, and am loyal to the core to my family and those few that I consider my friends. I was raised to believe that a lady should be treated like a lady, that the words “please” and “thank you” are not OPTIONAL. And to treat others the way you would like to be treated. At this point in our lives we have become who we are going to be. I have faults…Plenty of faults! So do you, but I like who I am, you should too. Relationships should be about compromise NOT conformity. I am enamored by all of the intricacies that make up a confident independent woman. I am looking for someone to enhance my life, not define it.
Be forewarned… I am not your average bear! I work hard and I love to play hard! I believe that if you are not crashing you are not learning! That is not to say that I can’t lounge and cuddle on a Sunday morning, but life is short, you regret more things you didn’t do, than things you did! I am not expecting you to be this way, just putting it out there. I am extremely fit, although I would not consider what I do to be working out. I don’t go to the gym; I’ll go climb a hill. Four hours of volleyball on a Friday night is FUN for me! I don’t expect you to be ready to climb Everest, but you shouldn’t get winded trying to pack for it either. I am all boy! I was raised on classical music and theater, but I prefer hard rock and dirt in my teeth! (O.K. more likely snow or water, but yeah, sometimes dirt too!) I don’t do mertrosexual . I don’t have, nor do I plan to get any tattoos, although I don’t mind if you do. I don’t need to buy a Harley to satisfy a midlife crisis. I won’t dye my hair to look younger. I can clean up well, when the occasion calls but I am definitely a jeans and T-shirts kind of guy.
Most importantly I want to stress that my stay in California is temporary. If we were destined to be together, then it would have to be in Colorado. I have lived there before, and it is where I belong. If you understand this and you would like to meet someone who just might restore your faith in the male gender for a while, then drop me a line.
I have not spent a lot of time on here recently. I have been back and forth to Colorado. (Iam in Denver now in fact). Mom's house is almost done. It is looking like mid to late June for my departure.
