Date a soulmate from Davis, United States. So my friends tell me I am quite a catch and I have would have to agree. I have all my teeth and still have most of my hair, although there is a little more gray every day. I have a great career and own my own home. I am pretty handy around the house and can fix anything from your fence, plugged drain, or even a kink in your neck. On a more serious note I am a devoted father of two (mostly) wonderful teenagers. My son is 19 and my daughter is a beautiful 16 year old young lady. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them smile. Now that they are growing up I have noticed something strange happening. While I am still very much involved in their lives, as they grow up they require less and less Dad time. I am actually starting to feel somewhat guilty in that I enjoy my “non-kid” time more and more. It has given me a chance to pursue some of the things I had gladly put on hold.
While not an outdoors man I do like outdoor activities when the sun is shining, especially if it involves being in, on or near the water. I enjoy hiking/walking (not really sure of the difference), bike rides, camping, kayaking and sailing, but that’s not all. I enjoy day trips to Tahoe, Napa and anywhere along the coast. I do tend to enjoy tropical locations with warm sand (my toes really like warm sand) , but would like to see Alaska in the summer time. Movies, dinners, concerts, live performances, trips to the city and time spent alone are great. Cooking dinner at home and watching a movie with a glass of wine is pretty wonderful as is a sandwich, a bottle of wine and sunset on the coast When the sun is shining I like to be outside enjoying it. Two and a Half Men use to make me laugh out loud as did the "old" Office. Now i look forward to Modern Family on Wednesday nights.
I can carry on a conversation on most any topic and am comfortable in most social setting. I tend to live my life as an open book so don’t be afraid to ask questions. I have been blessed with a strong moral compass that helps to guide me through life. I am in no way perfect, but happy to report I have learned from past relationships and have proven I can be taught new tricks. While money is important for me life is about simple pleasures, relationships and experiences. I don’t care where you live or what you drive, I do care what kind of person you are. I believe Chivalry still exists and enjoy treating my partner like a queen. I am very content with my life, but do miss having someone to care about. That being said I am not in a hurry and won’t settle. If I died tomorrow I would do so with a big smile on my face. I know my soul mate is out there and I won’t give up till I find her.

Date single man from Davis, United States. I’ve traveled to 167 countries, I go skydiving every weekend, and I climbed El Capitan without ropes last Thursday.
Except that none of that is actually true. I do, however, have a fairly refined sense of irony. And while I’ve had my share of adventures, and hope to have many more, especially with a willing partner, I'm also fine engaging in more relaxed, less ambitious pursuits. Ultimately, who I’m with is a lot more important than what I’m doing.
So given the choice between a woman who looks like Penelope Cruz but expects to be treated like Queen Elizabeth, and the girl next door (metaphorically speaking) who is warm, fun, and loves being around me, I’ll take the second option eleven times out of ten. In my world, she’d be the real queen anyway.
I imagine that my particular queen will be fun, assertive, reliable, and outdoorsy on one hand, and warm, genuine, compassionate, and feminine on the other. Planning and decision-making will be strengths (especially event and trip planning), but so will empathy and affection. She will be equally comfortable lounging at home, or hiking in the back country, or dressing up and looking great. And, of course, she'll dig the drummer.
As far as appearance goes, I don’t have anything particular in mind, except to say that I want a woman who is healthy and fit and who likes to look good without obsessing about it (sort of like me in that respect). I'm not looking for a supermodel. And yet to my eyes, she will look quite beautiful and sexy. And I will remind her of that often.
I think it's important for people to be able to laugh at themselves and others, but in a good way not a mean way. So if a woman has a well-developed talent for poking fun and dishing out a little affectionate ribbing and teasing, I may just find her totally irresistible.
And what would she be getting in return? That’s a hard question to answer without engaging in a bit of shameless self-promotion—which I will now do. I’ve been told (and I have references to back this up) that I am clever, fun, funny, honest, empathic, smart, helpful, and organized. I’ve also been called affectionate, creative, verbally talented, and a good listener.
An introvert that likes people, I am a somewhat unusual combination of practical yet hopelessly romantic, irreverent yet sensitive, independent yet intensely loyal, comical yet serious. Some of my coworkers have called me the funniest guy in the office, which, as I've pointed out, is sort of like being top sprinter on the Sumo wrestling team. But why split hairs?
If body type is of interest—and why wouldn’t it be—I am lean, athletic, energetic, fit, and in possession of a flat stomach. It’s a combination that some women seem to like. And I would love to find just such a woman.
I believe in eating healthily, exercising in moderation, and otherwise taking good care of myself---and I hope to find a partner who feels similarly. There are no guarantees to health and longevity, but I do believe in trying to maximize one's chances.
And, like everyone else, I have my share of imperfections. But rather than make a list, suffice it to say that I would like to find a woman who appreciates my strengths while tolerating and even empathizing with my flaws and vulnerabilities. In return, I would hope to do the same for her. That’s part of what relationships are made of, after all.
I look forward to making my partner laugh loud and often. But laughter isn’t the only positive response I hope to get from her on a regular basis. Pleasing her and making her happy will not only make me happy, it will be a passion of mine. Her appreciation for me will feed my enthusiasm for her, and good things will happen. She’ll want what I have and have what I want. And who could ask for better than that?
So that’s my vision. Maybe it’s a lot to ask, but I thought I’d ask anyway. Because if I can find a woman like that, it may just be the best thing ever to happen to me.
Meet someone special from Davis, United States. I am looking for the love of a good woman, the love of my life. I can offer love, patience, faithfulness, kindness and understanding. I consider myself a pretty good listener. In a former life I facilitated a self-help support group. I don't mind if you're carrying "baggage". I think I would be a good person to live with on a daily basis. I would like to travel more. Hawaii is definitely one place I'd like to visit. My ideal date is lunch or dinner at a restaurant and seeing a movie. I'm a quiet shy person. I like just about all kinds of movies, including romantic comedies and dramas. My music tastes tend towards pop, rock and country. I must confess I'm a geek and nerd, but have non-tech interests as well.
Date a soulmate from California, United States. I'm guessing I'm half way down that winding path and looking for a companion to join me for the rest of that journey. I cherish my friends and my family and hope to add someone special to that list. I would definitely describe myself as a lover of life and am always seeking to explore what our world has to offer.
