I've got two great young daughters who are a big part of my life. They are 13 and 15 years old and are just the greatest kids. I also have an older daughter, 27, who has 2 sons so I am a grandpa! I don't see them very much because they live in New Mexico.
I am not a religious person and haven't attended church for a long, long time. But I do believe that I am a spiritual person and I am really in to learning how to make my life better by self discovery. I read books by Don Miguel Ruiz, Ekhart Tolle, and others and really enjoy that part of spirituality and enjoy discussing this with like minded individuals.
I work at a large, local corporation and have been with the same company for 25 years now. I'm relatively secure in my job, or at least as secure as we can be in this day of economic uncertainty. I've also got a small business that I run in my spare time and I've got 2 employees that work for me. It's a challenge and I enjoy doing that.
I would like to find a like-minded friend to enjoy doing some of the things that I like to do so that we can do them together.

I'm really hoping to meet someone special, more than just someone to date, someone where we can have and enjoy a real connection on so many levels; friendship, romance, socially, quiet times, travel times, and even each others family times. Even though I'm not a dad, maybe someday I'll be a great step dad, or just a cool and very supportive guy to his woman's kids. Either way, I think kids are great, young and old. I am known as Uncle Trouble to my nieces and nephews. And I am surely daddy to my lab retriever, Sally.
My free time fun includes getting out on Folsom Lake whenever possible. I'm really into stand up paddle boarding, and it's great fun. Yes I have 2 boards so if you want to learn, let's get out there! I also like biking, hiking, swimming, surfing down in Santa Cruz (whenever possible), and all the fun winter sports too. Skiing and snowboarding, always great fun. How about you?
I'm also hoping to find someone who likes my gregarious sense of humor, which is mixed in with a bit of witty sarcasim at times, and I never take myself too seriousily. I leave that serious stuff for work situations, which I can maintain for all of about 10 minutes at a time. Then it's back to my optimistic gregarious self.
PS I love animals, take my lab swimming a few days a week to Folsom Lake or Natomas Lake, and try to get my requisite exercise in.

Meet a soulmate from United States. I'm enjoying watching my two girls grow, and hanging out with friends and family. They are now 14 & 10 and I realize how fast the time goes and how as they get older they would rather spend time with freinds than with parents. Yes I'm updating this while they are both with friends.... Coaching their soccer and softball teams is great fun and helps increase that small window of time I have to be a part of their youth. The rest of the time I enjoy tailgate parties, trying new foods, watching a movie, camping, cycling, walks, a long drive, hiking.....
What is missing is someone to share the good days and yes even the bad days with. Someone to join me in experiencing life and specifically some of the same things I experienced in my 20s. I traveled from Mexico up to Canada, from Greece up to Holland and then down through Spain and on to Morroco. In that chapter I shared the company of friends or those I met along the way. In the coming year I want to add that special gal, my best friend, and my lover....making a good friend along the way is cool too.... Someone who's easy going, funny, and is compatible. If you've ever traveled with someone, you know how important that is. My trip this year is London 2012 I hope with a stop to visit family in Spain so let's see if we can go together....

Enjoy Backpacking, the beach, listening to music, holding hands with that special someone, just living life. I"m the youngest of 4 and grew up with traditional and progressive family values. I know how to be a gentleman :) I travel when I can, but would prefer to go with someone and share the time together. I enjoy evenings out as much as I do in.
