Meet single man from California, United States. Hi. I have recently moved back to Chico to start a new chapter in my life. I am a California native that has lived the last 18 years in the Colorado Rockies. I grew up in the Oakland Bay Area and went to Chico Sr High. From there I joined the US Navy and served 6 yrs active duty.
I find myself to be very conservative in most aspects, but open to opinions and ideas of other people. (I like a good debate, but hate heated arguments - I can agree to disagree.)
My favorite granddaughter (through marriage) says that I can make anything funny, even if it's the end of the world. That's what I like to do: bring humor into even the worst situations. I don't consider myself to be a stand-up comedian, but I can give some of them a run for the money. That doesn't mean I can't be serious... but I can also be seriously funny.
I'm a real romantic at heart. I like to make a woman feel special. I like sunsets and walks along the beach. I like romantic dinners and settings. I even like "chick-flicks" more than scary movies" (although a good sci-fi sometimes trumps all).
My dream is to find a best friend with whom I can fall in love, and I am looking for a friend. I am not sexually promiscuous, and I'm not looking for one-night-stands. What I want is to find someone to do things and spend time with, without worrying about what comes next. I would be quite happy if I wound up making friends here, but hope to find that special someone. I would even be very pleased doing things that I haven't yet tried or have not found enjoyable, as long as I am in good company (fishing is something I only enjoy in the right company). I have not been much of an out-doors person, but I don't think I would take much persuading (wanna try?).
I'm not a real sports fan, but my favorite teams have been the SF Giants and 49ers for as long as I can remember, even in Rockies' territory. I do like the Avalanche, however, as well as the Sharks. I have always enjoyed local softball games, and even played on my brother's team many moons ago.
