I live and work on the coast, taking care of land and a couple of startup environmental and agricultural nonprofits. I've been working successfully to protect and care for the coast all of my adult life.
I love the beauty of nature, family, and friends. I love meeting people who are up to and interested in good works.
On my own time, l love to walk in beautiful places and see the joy of light on the trees, and leaves, sand and sunsets, flowers and grasses. I love to go sailing. There is magic in balancing the wind, waves, sails, boat and course as we slip through the water, particularly on the ocean. I like teaching it too. Its easy.
I love good conversation that reveals the little joys as well as the heart of life. I enjoy travel and the wonder of new places and peoples.
I come from a large stable family of caring affectionate inclusive introverts who are interested in just about everything. I love, and am grateful for all of them, my stepdaughter, and all the nieces and nephews, and the cousins and friends and relations of all sorts who are in and out of our lives, particularly children.

People who know me would describe me as deeply caring, intelligent, curious, patient, and hard working. They say I have a good sense of humor, and I can be playful at times. I like to laugh.
I like music, particularly folk, classical, and rock roll, and stuff that is singable or beautiful. I don't enjoy headbanger and thump-thump-thump.
