I grew up in a small town in South Carolina and I'm happy that I had those roots, but I'm also very happy that I've been a Californian since the 70's. I've been single for about 5 years after a 30 year marriage, and it's definitely an adventure. After living in Pacific Palisades for most of those 30 years, I serendipitously discovered the Marina Peninsula to start my "new life", and it has been a love affair ever since. I'm very fortunate to have lived in two wonderful places in my years in California.
I have two great children with careers and families of their own...we're close, but live our own lives. I love good food, good wine, all kinds of music, live concerts, theatre, movies (especially at the Laemmle and the Landmark), LACMA, the Getty...aren't we lucky to have so many choices here. I'm kind of technologically challenged despite the fact that my 3 brothers are whizzes, and my son has a PhD in math...I still think the radio works because there are tiny people inside!
I stay busy with work, family and friends, but would love to add a special someone to my life to share and learn from. A sense of humor is most important, as well as enjoying some of the things mentioned above, and especially sharing that indefinable quality...chemistry.
