Date someone special from Marina del Rey, United States. I'm an optimistic, classy woman with a genuine interest in discovering beauty and adventure in life.
Physically, emotionally and financially healthy...my baggage fits into a small carry-on.
I am well traveled and love exploring the world...well read and love movies of all kinds. Not quite a critic but count me in for discussions. I like dancing, good wine and discovering restaurants.
I know my way around a kitchen and love to bake. I can be seen at the gym working off any excess pounds. Staying in shape is important to me.
My interests are very broad and basically I have fun doing all these things by myself or with friends but it would be even better to share them with a like minded man.
So, who am I looking for? I am looking for a man who wants to be a friend, companion, lover and maybe partner in life. I am looking for a man of character to share the good life with.
To this man I offer a romantic sophisticated woman who loves to make her man smile and laugh. I am a woman who likes to bring out the best in herself and others. I am a woman who feels that a relationship is about giving and receiving. It is about compassion, commitment and some compromise. Kindness and tenderness too. Please consider the glass as half-full with lots of good time to come.
Must this man be all of these things? No, but he must want to please me and make me laugh as much as I want to bring him laughter, romance and happiness. Life is too short for anything else.
Meet a soulmate from Marina del Rey, United States. I am looking for a good man to love (I am happiest in a loving, committed relationship), to share good conversations, someone kind, snuggly, insightful, intelligent, funny (yes, let's be silly kids together), open to new experiences and new ideas. I am comfortable with myself, deeply joyful, intense when needed, both outgoing and also capable of peaceful quiet, I like hosting dinner parties (small and medium) and am most happy any time I'm on the Pacific's blue water or can see that far horizon. I am often told I don't look my age (yes, the number is accurate); I'll admit, I do have some wrinkles, the adverse consequences of smiling too much (and no, I would not give up any of those smiles for a smooth face). I want someone who has had a good family experience, who is close to his kids and who is open to being close to mine (the true loves of my life). In my work life, I spent the last thirty years taking care of my architectural clients. I have been very lucky, I have had great clients who have brought me interesting and challenging projects. Thanks to them, I have a very nice body of built work. And my sons are launched (semi-launched for the younger one, but enough so that I have a freedom these days that I did not have before). Now, I turn to what I want to do with the next thirty years of my life: I would like to spend some time writing and I would like to see more of the world. But more than that, I would like a good-hearted man with whom to share both these adventures and the pleasures of daily life (preferably one who likes to read and to cook and to dance and to laugh and to travel and to make the most of the many years we have left together). Above all, I want someone to share the quiet time, snuggling and talking and ... before the day really gets going.
Date a woman from Marina del Rey, United States. We Baby Boomers redefined life as the world knew it, and we are continuing the tradition as we get older! This is a time in life when the children are raised and on their own (if we're lucky), and we've seen a lot of life and have become deeper, more soulful people (if we're lucky).
I grew up in a small town in South Carolina and I'm happy that I had those roots, but I'm also very happy that I've been a Californian since the 70's. I've been single for about 5 years after a 30 year marriage, and it's definitely an adventure. After living in Pacific Palisades for most of those 30 years, I serendipitously discovered the Marina Peninsula to start my "new life", and it has been a love affair ever since. I'm very fortunate to have lived in two wonderful places in my years in California.
I have two great children with careers and families of their own...we're close, but live our own lives. I love good food, good wine, all kinds of music, live concerts, theatre, movies (especially at the Laemmle and the Landmark), LACMA, the Getty...aren't we lucky to have so many choices here. I'm kind of technologically challenged despite the fact that my 3 brothers are whizzes, and my son has a PhD in math...I still think the radio works because there are tiny people inside!
I stay busy with work, family and friends, but would love to add a special someone to my life to share and learn from. A sense of humor is most important, as well as enjoying some of the things mentioned above, and especially sharing that indefinable quality...chemistry. I would love to feel like a kid again and meet someone who makes me laugh and feel weak in the knees (not necessarily at the same time).
If you're interested, lets start with dialogue and, as Groucho used to say, see what develops (now I really am aging myself)...start our adventure!
