My home is a small "farm" just outside of Sonora where I keep hens, goats and bees... such a contrast to my business! When I moved from Twain Harte two years ago, I started a blog about my life here and still continue to post entries from time to time. The laughter from my two urban grandsons as they chase the animals through the pasture is definitely one of my favorite sounds!
My family and my friends are the mainstays of my life. Some of the people who are closest to me have been friends for almost 40 years. My adult children and their families live two hours away but we always look forward to our time together whether it's in person, on the phone or in an email.
When I think about developing a successful relationship, the person that comes to mind is someone who is ready to be a partner rather than just a pal. A man who has a generous, creative and adventurous spirit is important to me but so is emotional stability. I realize that there are fears about getting involved at our age especially if failed relationships are part of the history. But I also believe that truth and trust can address those concerns and we can enjoy the comfort of having someone in our world who knows us, believes in us and makes us better people. Didn't I tell you that I am an optimist?
