Meet single man from California, United States. I'm somewhat old fashioned. I love the idea of the man wooing and romancing a lady, opening doors for her, pulling out her chair, walking on the 'carriage' side of the sidewalk, etc., being a gentleman. I'm very much into romance and chivalry. I also really value independence and intelligence, and I want an equal that still appreciates some of the traditional things our parents were raised with.
Let's see, what else can I tell you... Well, I'm generally considered a nice guy, I'm very open and friendly, social, and fun at parties. I know tons of jokes. ;)
I'm warm and loving, but independent too. I like to get out and do things, be active, ride the bike, run, hike, etc. I joined Team in Training in 2010, and I've done three seasons with them on the triathlon team raising money for blood cancer research. It's been a blast training with them for 2 half ironmans, but it's also a great cause. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about trying it.
But when the time comes I'm good at relaxing. Too many people don't know how to de-stress and unwind, I think, but that's not me. I grew up in Hawaii, so mellow is something I know how to do. A nice glass of wine and thou, as they say.... ;)
I'm a bit of a goofball at times, don't mind being silly if the situation calls for it. Life is short and I try to have a good balance of fun and work.
I love to laugh, a good sense of humor is important I think.
I like classic rock, RB, blues, jazz, slack key, as well as modern stuff (my daughter's influence). I really like live music, going to concerts, clubs, etc., and you might even see me out on the dance floor!
