I woke up the other day and realized that I had worked my whole life. While I am happy in my work, I thought that I had not done much just to make me feel happy. I had planned to retire with my wife of 35 years. Unfortunately, she has chosen a different path for the future. So, I am about to be alone. My plan is to pursue things that are fun and interesting. I have a big brown dog (see picture above) that will join me. I am now looking for a traveling companion who wants adventure and seeks avenues to enjoy life.
I created a bucket list of things I want to do. These include travel to Chena Alaska to see the arora borelais from a volcanic hot springs, meet a polar bear face-to-face (from inside an armored bus) in the wild, live in Costa Rica long enough to learn to speak Spanish and enjoy the culture of another way of life, travel from the west coast of Canada to the east coast by car and train. Well, you get the picture. I would like to find a companion with similar interests to share these other and other experiences.
While these are the some of the high points of a traveling life, I would also hope to find a person to explore the creativity of a great kitchen: try new recipes, bake sour dough bread, walk the dog (actually he is a Lab that would rather me throw a ball for him to chase than go for a walk), share a good book, tell interesting stories from our life experiences, drift mindlessly among sea turtles with snorkel and fins.
