After that I joined a great law firm in its original office in Los Angeles, and have been a partner there for more than three decades.
I now am "semi-retired," and in addition to the legal work, am in the early stages of doing something I always wanted to do: writing fiction.
I have two adult sons, both of whom live in San Francisco. I have been separated since Halloween 2010, and we have filed for a legal separation.
I have been told that I have a great sense of humor -- I'm currenty in a stand up comedy class, and have done humor and parody, especially parody of the musical variety, for years. I've also been told (and I hope that all of this is true) that I have a very facile mind, and great interpersonal skills. I am habitually optimistic, thoughtful ( but not dull), and open to new ideas, places, and people.
