I don't want all the drama that seems to come with "dating", life is too short for all that....but I also think life is too short to not meet new friends, and possibly find that "best friend":):) I know for me, I can only be in a romantic relationship with someone who I can call my "best friend."

I do not believe in either Political Parties (Democrats or Republicans), for they all are money and power grubbing kind of people.
I believe in the US Constitution in its entirety.
I believe that Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness lies on my shoulders, without any Government influence.
And don't even get me into our 1st, 2nd, and 10th amendment rights; for they are so in jeopardy today.
I love my dearest friends and my family; and I am always one to support them in their lives.

I am driven career-wise and in regard to my personal financial freedom. I strive for retirement.

Who am I looking for?
I am looking for a man, who as myself; is looking for a companion in life.
I do not seek marriage or living together for that will happen naturally if it is to be. I seek a relationship where a man and woman share their lives together through their relationship.
He must have some of what I described about me (above) in common.
He must also respect the differences, without judgment, in regard to what I said about me above, as I will with him.
Also if you are a man who is still emotionally tied to a previous relationship or still going through a divorce,

I believe that in dating, after a date or two, one knows if they want to move on to the next level (companionship), or not.
I also do not believe in dating 2, 3 or more individuals at the same time.
This puts the other who is not at a disadvantage for they are not truly getting the opportunity from the one they are dating to get to know them, because of all the distractions.
I know you men are smart enough to understand that **smile**

I am a divorced, woman who has wonderful friends, a great family, an incredible son, a career that I love, and a life that is pretty close to perfect, except... I don't have someone to experience all the adventures with.
I love to laugh, cookout, explore new places and just hang out. I also love my church family; my faith plays a big part in my life. Playing with my child, getting dressed up and going out and trying new things....?? I want to enjoy life and I am looking for someone who wants to do that with me. Like watching a basketball, football or baseball game, or going to the movies, maybe even go to a Charity auction. Online dating...a frustrating experience to say the least. I'm finding out more about myself and what I want specifically. Though Im also finding that no matter how specific I am, this site still sends what it wants.
I have been single many years and I am just now really considering letting someone into my world. I want someone who has time to devote to me and my two boys. I just moved back to Alabama from Texas. I am trying to take in as much as possible. Everything from water activities to hiking, live music, good food, historical and art events too. My son will be with me at all times unless he is with his dad in Texas. I do not want to expose him to different men...therefore, I have to be very careful and picky. So, if I do not respond, please don't take it too personally. I am also not one that spends all my time on the computer or looking for someone. I just live life and have faith that when the timing is right it will happen, and if it doesn't , that's ok too.
I understand the need to talk on the phone. With that said, I am not a good phone conversationalist. So please do not ask for my number. I will let you know if I would like for it to go there. I need to have time on the computer first to sort through the BS, and I much prefer meeting for a cup of coffee because body language says much more than words. Once I am interested in someone, I do like frequent communication, as long as it is at appropriate times.

. I'm Looking for someone who is happy in life. I want to have fun, be silly, relax. Come with me... I want to jump off waterfalls, dance on the beach in the moonlight, or just relax around a fire with a nice glass of wine. I would love to be with someone who makes me laugh at myself, and can bring me out of my comfort zone. A friend recently dragged me up on a stage to do Karaoke. I thought I would NEVER do that. I had the time of my LIFE! and NO I can't sing. lol
I work a lot, and it can be stressful, even intense. I don't want to be intense out of work. I have no desire to debate, be right, or win. Not looking for someone to challenge me. I smile through anything, no matter how crazy things may get. I can't imagine anything bad enough to truly ruin my day, or at least not for very long.:) Life is busy and crazy, with lots of bumps in the road. I love to travel. Seldom does everything go smooth. I like to make the best of it and have a wonderful time. Usually you get a great story out of crazy adventures. The only thing that ever ruins a bump in the road, is if I'm with someone who gets upset over it. If you can enjoy the journey, any journey... even when it's not the planned journey... I would love to hear from you. I'm looking for someone who can laugh on his worst day, and truly enjoy his best days. Hoping that you also love to travel and would like to travel abroad in the future.
