i've lived in birmingham for about 10 years now: the first 4 in college and the past 6 i've been teaching in local schools. i grew up in kentucky, and still believe it's a fabulous place. most of my family (i'm a twin!) is still there and it's one of my favorite places to go visit. my mom, sister, and brother are all attorneys so don't ask me how i ended up in the classroom BUT i love teaching and working with students! right now i'm in graduate school for educational leadership and will finish in may. i always have hilarious stories to share about my kids and literally never have a boring day at work! when i'm not working, i'll do almost anything if my friends are involved; i value the relationships (near and far) in my life and definitely consider them a priority. i also take my faith seriously and try to live a life that resembles it. in general, i'm relatively nerdy (i'm not ashamed) but i love to laugh so life is pretty perfect.

I am a fun-loving, down to earth girl that loves baseball, football ,UFC and college basketball. I guess I should say what kind of guy I'm looking for .... I want a southern gentleman. Someone who is kind, loving, intelligent, family-oriented, can always make me laugh (even if it's at his expense...haha), and can enjoy just hanging out at home. I like to go out too, but I also like just staying in sometimes and having friends over. Honesty is huge too. . For starters, I am a laid back, easy going person. Most people call me a "low maintenance" girl. It does not take much to make me happy. Some of my favorite things to do with a person are going for long walks or drives, just to explore and see what's out there and have some good conversation!
I am not what you would call a social butterfly, but I do enjoy social gatherings most of the time. Going out is fun from time to time, but going out to bars every weekend is not my thing. I prefer to be more creative with how I spend my time! I have a very big family that I love spending time with, they are my favorite people in the world and I would want my partner to be someone who values family relationships.
I love the outdoors and most of the television I watch is nature documentaries. Most of my friends call me the "bird nerd" because I really lke birds and have been involved with wildlife rehabilitation as a volunteer for several years now. I really enjoy beer and beer tasting, would love to learn about the beer brewing process and do some of that myself someday. I am also a coffee addict!
One of my biggest goals in life is to travel as much as I can. I hope that someday when my partner and I are old and gray, we can look back on a lot of adventures we shared while traveling.
