About you: I realize that everyone has something unique to bring to the table, and I know it's not at all realistic to expect to find one person that has absolutely everything for which you're looking. Taking that into consideration, here are a few things that, while not necessities, are huge pluses in my book: passion for music and movies, great sense of humor (it doesn't have to be as cheesy or sarcastic as mine, but come on - at least HAVING one is a must), quick wit, honesty, good nature, love of animals, desire to keep in shape, intelligence (also a must - I mean, I'm not looking for a rocket scientist or anything, but the ability to maintain interesting conversation is huge), maturity balanced with a knack for not wanting to grow up completely...again, I could go on, but I'll stop here (see above reasons a, b and c).
What I have to offer: an ear to bend, a joke to make you laugh, a hand to hold, a heart and mind to share, arms to fall into, music for your soul, and patience that yields understanding.

If you were to ask me to describe myself (which in a way you are, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this) then I would say that i'm someone's who is friendly, kinda shy and quiet (I like to say that I only speak when I have something to say), easy to get along with, nice, someone you can depend on, and funny. It's true that I might not have much to say but if I can think of something funny to say (especially a quick one-liner) then I'll blurt it out and hope for a laugh. :)
When I'm not working I'm usually just relaxing at home watching hockey (which isn't nearly as fun as seeing in person but is wayyyyy cheaper lol) or a movie or tv and spending time here in cyber-land. I'm no couch though. I play ice hockey a couple times a week and I also try to go hiking or rock climbing too.
I really enjoy a nice meal...either going out or cooking at home. I love to try new foods and if I like it enough I'll try to learn how to make it. I think I do pretty good in the kitchen.

Most people would not know that I am a very romantic man. I have to put on a show sometimes at work but truth be said, I'm a very sweet romantic man. I pay attention to the details of a woman that I'm seeing. I make sure that she feels that she is her own person, has her own "girly" time, and that at all times I will be there to protect her and be her rock. It's about compromise; some days she leans on me, some days I lean on her. All in all we depend on each other instead of turn on each other in tough times.

I spend as much time with my family as I can. I don't have any children of my own but I am blessed with my niece and nephews and love to be with them.
I'm not real "stuck" on one thing, but rather open to trying new things. I like to drive roads I've never been down just to see where they take me and want someone to go with me now. Hopefully we can get lost, make out like in high school and end up sleeping under the stars.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but I know one thing for sure, I'll be in the front of the line trying to ride the ride as many times as I possibly can.

Boy, its really tricky to describe yourself without sounding conceited or nutty, huh? Honestly, I'm like a very responsible kid. I an old pro taking care of the things in life that need taking care of (work, money, parenting, etc.,) but I'm also just a big kid inside. I don't take life too seriously, and I love to get out and live life.
I have joint custody of my 9 year old daughter, who is the most important part of my life. I adore her and love being a father.
I have a good job that allows me to have balance in my life. I've turned down three promotions in the past two years because a little more money and a lot less time for my family and my own life isn't a trade off that makes much sense to me.
What am I looking for? Let me see if I can get this right... I have gone out to the Burning Man festival many times. While it does not define me (I like it because its a great opportunity to be with a group of friends for more that a few hours,) I think its a good litmus test for a good match. I'm looking for someone who has the mindset of "I'd like to give that a try." Someone who has a spirit of adventure, and isn't afraid to get dirty in the process.
