See me working out and you'd think that I'm pretty hard core; I'm probably doing something that requires strength like lifting heavy weights and hiking steep trails. Staying healthy and in shape is an important part of who I am, and it shows.
But catch me on a Saturday morning and you might just see my sweet tooth take over. I doubt I've met a donut I don't like, though maple glazed, raised and old fashioned are my favorites. Baking bread and cinnamon rolls from scratch happens in my kitchen, and I really enjoy quiet nights there cooking for a special someone.
I make it a point to be nice, but I'm no pushover. I believe in ending relationships well and have stayed friendly with everyone from my past; some I still call friends. Even ex-spouses of ex boyfriends like me! Adjectives that suit me best include kind, loving, intelligent and nurturing. Smothering would never make the list.
I like variety and new experiences. I'll pick a wine just because it's new to me and will always opt for a restaurant I've never been to. I'm not one for pretentious places, but a place with laminated menus probably won't make my list of favorites. I come alive through travel and immersing myself in different cultures; I dream of long days in Italy to savor the wine and culture.
My strong personality means that I need a man who is confident enough to take the lead but secure enough to let me shine. Intelligence, quick wit and ability to think on his feet will help us click, as will his passionate nature. I'm one to hang back and survey the situation first, so someone who jumps in quickly will balance me out. Once I'm committed, though, I'm all in. Please be able to say the same.
I don't believe in the outdated belief that we must be with someone in order to be complete, and I know that no one (including myself) is perfect. I'm looking for the 80%: a great guy who isn't perfect, but he's perfect for me.
I need a guy who can keep up with me physically, so being in shape matters. When I get all girled up for a night together and slip on those heels I hit about 6'2", so I'm attracted to tall men. Accents make me weak in the knees, as does that indescribable spark when we meet; I think that's what everyone calls chemistry, and it's an absolute requirement for me. And even if our every relationship, every kiss, every heartache is pre- ordered from some cosmic catalog, can we still take a wrong step and wander off our own personal 'Milky Way'?
I cant help but wonder, Can you make a mistake, and miss your fate?..

Dating? well. it doesn't get any easier with age. Relationships are not about playing games. They're about mature and honest communication.

I like romance and being romantic, but I don't go for the poetic words, and really at times, I may find it corney. I am a bit synical at times. I've started too many relationships based on physical attraction and of coarse, they ended because of that (after about 10-12 years that is).
