I am a funny and compassionate person. My strong-willed (some say stubborn) nature keeps me passionate about the things i love and believe in,....I guess that's a Taurus thing. I love to make people laugh, and I'm definitly a social butterfly!
Culture and food are my passions. I love to cook and eat ethnic food; I'm down to try almost any food at least once. As for culture, I believe the diversity of culture in our world is a beautiful thing. That's why I want to major in anthropology. I got a late start in college because I was in the military. I was recently going to DVC and was going to transfer to Berkeley, but i needed a stable career to help support my son and I better so I am going to cosmetology school to do hair. Eventually it would be nice to go back and at least get my BA in Anthropology, but i'm in no rush.
Right now I work for the family business doing book-keeping for property management. It's great because it gives me the flexibility I need as a parent and student. The story about "The Family Business" is really cool and i love the history behind it. I also recently got a new job at a Day Spa where I can intern until a pass my state board exams. I'm looking forward to doing an apprenticeship for haircolor and cutting at a salon when I graduate in October (Halloween to be exact!!!). The family business is flexible so I can keep up the book-keeping even on top of my salon work; it's what meets my family's (my son and i) needs and will be a little extra on the top when i get my salon job. Plus I love keeping our family's history going.
I spend a lot of time with my family (3 days a week at least, not including when i work) , and even though there isn't a lot of us, getting everyone together for holidays, parties, and BBQs is the best! I would love to add more members to the family; in-laws and kids. So if marriage and kids are not in your future, then i would say you are barkin' up the wrong tree my friend,...
I'm a buxom curvy full figured girl, not quite a BBW by most standards, but i am not thin at all. So if you are looking for a toothpick or a bean pole,...I am not the one LOL! I would love to have a workout partner and get back into shape,.....and a work out buddy makes it so much more fun! I may lose a little, but I'm built like a coke bottle and will never be that size 4 in a bikini, and i'm ok with that :)
I'm white; my background is Spanish and Latvian. My eyes are hazel green. I was born blonde, but now have black and pink hair,.....which recently I colored back to all black on top, but i still have pink underneath. Its not noticeable until I put my hair up. I also have several tattoos and piercings (with more tattoos to come). *** I have 8 tattoos, most are not viewable in my normal everyday clothes. Tattoos in a partner are not a requirement for me, but i would like that person to be open to embracing my love of body art. I have a unique feature about one of my tattoos,....ask if you're curious to know what it is. Most of my tattoos reflect my love of culture, religion, and anthropology,....They all mean something very special to me, not just some picture I picked off a wall.
My style is eclectic,...everything from being casual in big ethnic earrings, jeans, flip flops and T-shirts to pointy toe pumps and skirts. I'm versatile. Though i do find myself in a more retro style than anything,.....red lipstick and anything pink. I'm not high maintenance but i do know how and when to look like a lady. I can hang out with the guys, work construction jobs with my dad and also host bridge tea parties with my Baabee (grandma) and cook a 4 course Christmas dinner. So yeah,....versatile.
