Date someone special from San Francisco, United States. I've had a full life so far, from joining the Peace Corps in my twenties and spending time in the Philippines teaching at a refugee camp to raising two sons that I'm proud of. Connections with people are vital to me and I need someone who values family and friends like I do. I need meaningful work that keeps me engaged and always learning new things. To stay active and healthy, I do weekly Pilates classes and take care of my garden of potted plants at home and in my office. Being caring and compassionate, I use my love of knitting to contribute hand knit scarves to a winter holiday project for homeless folks in the Tenderloin as well as other volunteer projects.
Playful at heart, I surround myself with things that make me smile, like a small collection of stuffed monkeys. To commemorate the good times, I have a collection of photos and mementos from my past and of my children growing up. I have an open spirituality and enjoy items like a beautiful cedar wood finger labyrinth, singing bowls, Tingsha bells and a lovely statue of Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Compassion.
There's travel in my future beyond the local trips to the Russian River, Yosemite, and Las Vegas. With that special someone, I'd like to see more of the United States, going to the Grand Canyon, Four Corners, Seattle, Cape Cod and of course, New York City. Then there are international places like Italy, Ireland, England, France and Thailand. I'm dynamic, enjoying both order and routine as much as spontaneity and adventure.
Independent and financially secure, I have a good job, full life and think the right man would be wonderful to share it with. I'm a loving woman who's attentive and devoted to her partner. Loyalty and honesty are the two things that build a solid foundation for a long lasting relationship. I see this as an amazing opportunity to meet someone new and spend time doing things together.
I want someone to take trips through the wine country with or go camping and kayaking for the weekend. I'm looking for someone who will commit to making this work and be able to focus his energy on me just as I will focus my attention on him. I'm attracted most to a good conversation with someone who's interesting, articulate and able to communicate his ideas effectively. He should be fit, confident and comfortable with who he is so I can see his vitality and inner self coming through. I want a partner who has some college and is either still working at or retired from a good job that he enjoys. He should be independent, but still wanting to spend time with me and stick through the ups and downs of life. I love where I live and think there is plenty for us to do around here, so someone local to the San Francisco or Bay area would be nice.
