Date men and women from United States. I am recently retired after having spent the last 30 years in the IT field. Since I needed something to keep busy I bought a house with a small vineyard that I now tend to. I plan to use the grapes to make wine with friends that we can all share.
I am a fit, confident, practical man who has succeeded at every level. I believe in treating everyone better than I would like to be treated myself. I don't mind going the extra mile for something that I want or believe in. I enjoy simple things, smiling, making people smile, a good day golfing, a great day at the beach, a good meal at home, a great meal at a new restaurant, discovering a great new wine, finding a new friend. I am old school when it comes to chivalry. I believe in opening doors, holding chairs, etc. Loyalty is very important to me. It should be to you as well.
I have really three passions in life, golf, wine, and travel. I play competitive golf. I used to be a competitive bowler, but now I just fool around with it. I have traveled within the US to many places, but have many holes in my resume. Never been to NYC or spent any real time in the South. I have traveled internationally to Europe, however have not seen Paris or London, Asia, mostly to Japan, and the Caribbean which I love. I am a die hard bay area sports fan. Points added if you are a Giants or 49ers fan. I will try desperately to understand if you are an A's or Raiders fan, but no promises...
I would like to find a woman who I could share my passions with. To be clear, I am looking for a long term commitment, someone to share the rest of my life with. This woman would be active and preferably a golfer (I enjoy playing with golfers of all abilities) or at least be understanding of my addiction. She would have a current passport and be interested in using it. I would hope that she would be comfortable in her own skin and has discovered by now that drama is not worth the effort. I know that I have.
If this sounds worth exploring, please let me know. We could get together for a glass of wine to start, or even have a chat on the phone if you like. Either way I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Meet a soulmate from United States. Finding it best to honest up front, here goes. As per my user name, my number one priority is 15 yr old daughter. I dont do alcohol or drugs (11 yrs sober). I have strong spiritual relationship with a God of my understanding and I believe in the power of prayer and strong family values.
As for me personally, I am 6 3 and had been very thin up until 3 years ago and now I am finding it difficult to keep the pounds off. I play tennis 3-4 times a week and a little basketball whenever I can get past the fear of getting hurt by the younger faster guys. I got the tall and dark part down pat...leave the the rest for the viewer to decide (smile)
I am originally from Louisiana (North, not New Orleans), and I travel back there quite a bit, about every other month. I have traveled quite a bit (some international) but find I am most relaxed with quiet country living. I fine trips to my fortress of solitude in Louisiana restful and energizing.
My interest are pretty simple and these days I prefer a quiet lifestyle. I can be fully content taking in Turner Classic Movies on a Sunday afternoon. I do enjoy "movie and a dinner" dates, but its been awhile since I've had one of those which why I'm on this site to begin with. Since books went digital, I spend far too much time reading crime dramas.
If you are looking for a glamorous lifestyle or someone with whom to travel the world, I am probably not your cup of tea. For me its about enjoying someone's company, good conversation, or even the ability to just be quiet with somewho who "understands"
Disclosure Alert: The Photo of my daughter and I is 10 year old (she is 15 now). Photo is one of my favorites. The others are current!
Date a woman from United States. I'm on the lookout for you--hunting and hoping in Home Depot, while browsing in book stores and sitting in torturous traffic next to you. I whiz by you while on my bike, walk around you at Whole Foods and while sauntering through Saturday's Farmers Market, but, how do we connect?
Being in love is a magical life event and my goal here...to meet a new best friend to share my life with. Really it would be wonderful to have a life partner to "go the distance with". It would be fun to compare our "bucket lists" roshambo..and make what's on paper into real life. I am passport ready and excited about future travel.
I am a reasonably fit girl staying in shape by riding my bike, power walking and hiking. I enjoy the great outdoors , love the coast and have taken kayaking 101. I also have a dusty tennis racket. I find going to "The City" for a play, wining/dining, MOMA, comedy show, SF Giants or any current attraction always fun. I am an easy going "down to earth girl"-- no gobs of makeup and you can't smell me coming. I am spunky, honest, loyal have a playful personality. I can and do also slow down and cherish good conversation, a good read, backyard entertaining, sitting and enjoying my flower garden and watching the birds and wildlife outside. I have a weekly volunteer commitment with Guide Dogs For The Blind and "dog napping" is so very real to me. Really all I want to do is stuff one of those black labs in my car, roll down the windows..and off we go!
I am financially secure, a homeowner and support myself. My kids are all college grads, launched and living on their own in SF. I am close to my kids and not interested in relocating very far from them.~~My dream man (a girl has to dream) would be youthful, handsome "fittish", playful and funny and takes pleasure in the morning paper and coffee outside. You love prawns, enjoy dim sum, and know how to wash dishes if we decide on a cooking project at home. You are able to act a bit "polished" when appropriate, clean shaven (or almost), and like to bring flowers. The ability to jump in the car and drive up or down the coast without an agenda is a big plus as is a sense of adventure. A pal that likes to be "on the go" and enjoys scouting out local events would be perfect!. I do like being part of a couple. I have found out that life is so much more enjoyable with someone that you love to share it with.
If you love to garden...I am your girl. No gloves--no worries --I'll buy you a pair and let you go wild! ps..I'm not saying the yard is overgrown at all--just plenty to keep you clipping, snipping, digging, sawing or not. I have a lovely outdoor couch you adjust the pillows just right settle in and enjoy my hard work!
