Meet someone special from California, United States. Having filled in the rest of my profile without too much difficulty, I am now stuck on trying to describe myself in a few short paragraphs. This is not easy..... coming from England I am a little on the shy side, at least initially. I prefer small, intimate groups to large crowds and I prefer to wisper rather than shout. I have a small circle of very close friends that I have known for 25 years and they are like the family that I left behind in England. I would describe my sense of humor as dry which is probably typical from those of us from across the pond.
I am a finance executive for an Internet company and I generally enjoy what I do. I would say that I have worked fairly hard during my career but today I have a good work/life balance that enables me to have plenty of time off to travel and generally enjoy myself outside of the corporate world.
I have two kids, both in top 25 colleges in terms of academics and I love them to death. If they don't come home on a regular basis, I go to see them.
I work out fairly regularly but probably should do more. Even though I've been in the USA for over 25 years, I still enjoy the English sports - soccer (called football in Europe), rugby and cricket (this will take a while to expllain).
I travel fairly extensively and like going to exotic places. In 2011 it was Panama, Belize, Nicaragua, Hawaii and Vegas - ok, ok, so Vegas is not exotic. In 2012, so far I've been to Nicaragua and Tulum, Mexico and later this year I'm hoping for India, Europe and a couple of other places still to be determined.
In terms of a match that's hard to say. I am not looking to meet a female clone of myself and, in fact, that would probably be a little boring. I find women with a passion for something to be stimulating, regardless of whether it is a career or a hobby. I like interesting women, but not someone that puts her career in front of everything and everyone - I find human relationships to be of the utmost importance. So, if you like eating out, movies, trying new things, cooking at home and generally just hanging out together we would be off to a good start. .

Even though I'm pretty young at heart, I prefer women close to my own age....After being gone for 20 years ( grew up in Calabasas) I'm grateful to be back in California. I like to do almost anything you can do outside. I'm an avid golfer, I like all racquet sports, I like to ride my bike and I try to get some form of exercise each day. Cooking is something that I enjoy (grilling mostly). I like good restaurants, fine wine, thick juicy steaks (once in a while), granola and sushi (not in the same meal). I also love to eat...still seem to be able to maintain a fairly trim 180 lbs.
I like movies both old a new. I love to play my guitar...usually just for me. I have a dog named Harley who constantly makes me laugh. I like to read and learn new things and the 12 year old in me still likes the three stooges. Family (2 girls) and friends (all three of them;-) are very important to me.
Even though there is still an inner child, I am mostly an adult and have no patience for a soap opera lifestyle.
