Date a soulmate from Los Altos, United States. I'm told I've never looked my age. I am a calculated risk taker and several years ago turned my world on its head to provide an example for my now 13-year-old son that he can be and do anything at any time and succeed at it. I'm a former executive turned academic administrator who most recently turned higher ed entrepreneur. I am deeply committed to my son. I'm looking for a partner with a strong sense of self, confident and independent, yet open, caring. I'm interested in togetherness but not a stranglehold. Someone who can dialogue about emotions and needs without flying off. She will drag me out more often and has sufficiently eclectic interests to follow me too and enjoy herself. I can be engaged in almost any kind of discussion but also enjoy quiet and need time to focus on my son and dissertation. She must be able to deal with the life of a highly-engaged single dad with a freshly minted teenager. She is well educated and articulate, has her own interests and friends, is financially self-sufficient, takes care of herself, looks great in any attire, and has a healthy libido. Although I'm well traveled, I have become something of a homebody and still like to travel and socialize in measured doses. I can pace with sportiness and like to do, see and eat just about everything. I'm fairly intellectual and have a strong personality and wry sense of humor with deadpan delivery. I've come to appreciate having time to myself but, frankly, miss the comforts of a committed relationship. If you're out there and this sounds good to you, let me know.
Meet men and women from Los Altos, United States. What I value in others I offer in myself. I appreciate sincerity, honesty, sensitivity and loyalty. I am open-minded and adventurous. I am attracted to men who possess intelligence, humor, and sensuality. I am looking for a true partner with whom to share laughter, fun and the adventures and challenges life has to offer!
I enjoy theatre, long walks, ethnic restaurants, and quiet conversations. Lately, I have been frequenting Opa, a Greek restaurant which recently opened in downtown Los Altos. The local sushi hangout is another of my favorites. I try to catch most of the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts Theaterworks productions. I play tennis at least weekly, but would like to be playing more often.
My friends and family would describe me as sincere, open-minded, intelligent playful, and loyal.
I am able to communicate freely, much can be said through a simple touch, gesture, or glance.
I feel truly blessed by a life filled with wonderful friends and family. I have two teenage children who live with me part-time. I also have a large extended family with siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Although we are spread out geographically and don't see each other often enough we are fortunate to gather for holidays and other major celebrations. Last summer, my cousin celebrated his 50th birthday in Yosemite with 20 of his closest friends and relatives.
I also like to travel. Some favorite "local" spots besides Yosemite include Tahoe for skiing and hiking and Monterey for beach walking. Outside of the US mainland, my adventures have included: Costa Rica, the Hawaiian Islands (Maui and Kauai are my favorites), Alaska waterways, the Barrier reef in Australia and the Greek Islands. Yes, there is definitely a sun and sand theme!
Life is a book still waiting to be finished. Come help me write the next chapter
