The most important people in the world for me are my 5 year old niece and 2 year old nephew. The clock stops for them. I really prefer to meet someone that has no kids or they live out of the household. Although I love my niece and nephew, it's cool when I turn them back over to their legal guardians. Being around kids and a baby Daddy is just too much D-R-A-M-A.
Would like a partner to attend some of the entertainment type events that I get invited from working on my TV blog. I'm not one of those people who enjoys going to those events to be real honest but it would be good to have someone part of my presence at them. Date a man from Los Angeles, United States. I'm a transplanted easterner, on the west coast for 11 years now. I've been teaching math nine years and I have both the time and inclination to travel. These journeys are most-often nature based as I have hiked the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada and the Appalachian Trail among other hikes. I would like the person I am looking for to share this love of the outdoors, but I would hardly expect this level of time and effort. I do enjoy exploring the local areas, like the Santa Monica Mountains (Temescal Canyon is my favorite) and some of the Griffith Park trails.
I have my degree in engineering, but have had some interesting non-related jobs along the way. They include woodworking, welding, caretaker of a farm and running a trail crew in Vermont. I also do volunteer work for the Pacific Crest Trail Association, maintaining and repairing sections of this trail. I now work with eighth graders, teaching them math. They have taught me patience.
My commitment to health extends to the gym, but even more so, to my diet. I am a healthy vegetarian, but don’t worry, I can eat at any restaurant. It’s a lifestyle that works for me, but not something I’m seeking in others.
What I am looking for is someone committed to good health and physical activity. Besides hiking, I enjoy trail running and bicycling. I would also like someone who enjoys plays, both drama and musical, since they are a passion of mine. Other interests include movies (both recent and classics), and cooking. I’d love to meet someone who likes to cook together, possibly after picking up ingredients from a local farmer’s market.
