Date single man from Los Angeles, United States. I consider myself a loyal, social, success-driven individual with a positive outlook on life.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I moved to Austin for work in 2006 and relocated back to LA in July 2010. I'm looking to meet someone who is down to earth, positive, career and fitness-oriented, and who doesn't take herself too seriously. This would ideally be a woman who would enjoy travelling, dining out, recreational activities, sports, group activities as well as one-on-one time. I do not approach dating as an end game; the journey should be its own reward.
I believe that two people can maintain their own separate identities, personalities, activities and even friends, thus forming a "complimentary synergy", as distinguished from fusion, assimilation or duplication. While I would like to have a family, I would prefer to remain single than settle since, at the end of the day, happiness must come from within.
I don't adhere to a particular faith, and those in my family that do are primarily secular Muslim. Although I am accepting of all religions, I don't think I would be a good fit with someone who is religious or subject to the demands of religious parents.
Finally, I'm not interested in a long distance relationship or pen pal, so if you live more than 50 miles away, its probably not going to work unless you travel to LA often (or virtual technology advances to a state never before imagined).
Meet a soulmate from Los Angeles, United States. So how do I get my dynamic personality across in a profile? ;)
Very nice guy who knows how to treat a girl with the best of them. Intelligent, well educated, confident, driven/passionate, successful, funny, spontaneous, fit/athletic, charismatic, outgoing and super fun. I try to make the most of every day and live as my friends would say "high on life". I love to make those around me do nothing but smile and laugh. I definitely have a bounce in my step and blessed with a great amount of energy.....simply a zest for life!!!
My friends and family are the most important things in the world to me and I'm blessed to have it so great in these departments. I'm honest and wear my emotions on my sleeve. I don't like drama, I don't like games and I know that personally, I'm over dealing with any of that.
I'm very down to earth and can strike up a conversation with anyone. I love to joke around, can be sarcastic and love a good witty banter. I'm very athletic and try to play basketball at least 2x a week, which is one of my favorite things to do on the planet. Since I play ball with guys as tall as 6'8.....if you think my LEGIT 5'10 is not tall enough for you, feel free to bump me up a couple inches since I play with a bunch of trees ;) Besides hoops and my love for other sports, I also love music.....music is just a big part of my every day life....I listen whenever I can.
I'm looking for a girl with what I call the 4 S's: SWEET, SMART, SEXY and someone with SPUNK (in no particular order). I'd like my match to be goal-oriented, caring/loving, fun and just a quality person all the way around. What I want is a girl that is not only beautiful on the outside...but also on the inside (which is even more important). Personality is HUGE.....my ideal girl needs to have a good sense of humor as I'm quite the goofball....and hope she can handle that and let loose every now and then herself.
I really want a girl that is thoughtful and has a big heart....someone that knows how to be loved and love back. I want someone that knows what she wants in life...and isn't afraid to go after it. I want someone that appreciates what she has and not always worried about what she doesn't have....someone grounded, optimistic vs. pessimistic. Someone that values family like I do. A girl that doesn't mind watching a sporting event now and then. A girl that loves to experience new places as I love to travel (been to quite a few countries in different regions of the world, yet haven't even scratched the surface of where I want to go yet)......whether it's far away or just getting away for a weekend in Vegas or some other fun spot.
I guess I want a lot...but I think I have a lot to offer...and don't want to settle for just anyone! When I find that special girl....she will undoubtedly feel like the most important person on the planet.
Date someone special from Los Angeles, United States. I think what i find most attractive about a woman as a mate or even friend is honest interaction with the ability to make me laugh to tears.
I dig kindness and empathy for others even though it sometimes conflicts with humor.
I'm a pretty down-to-earth and passionate guy, I love my friends and family, animals, wine, food, travel, music, films, low drama kinda life. I work in entertainment but I'm not a douche. :) I'm not a hipster, but I am hip. :) I go out to live shows a lot, as well as theater, and movies, art shows. Sometimes I do charitable stuff, and most of my free time I enjoy spending with friends, creating something outta nothing, going to the gym, or playing tennis.
I dont take myself too seriously and I love going out posh as much as dive. The stache is not a everyday thing. But i figure if you can accept me with a stache well, thats a great start. I'm currently clean shaven.
I'm trying this online thing to meet some cool new people outside of my friend circle and well... one never knows....
okay... that is about all the " about me" I can stand.
Feel free to ask away!
Meet a man from Los Angeles, United States. I've worked hard to be the best person I can be. This has made me very open, honest and caring, but also confident and strong-willed. I'm a very happy person - which can annoy secretly unhappy people! While I work hard, I love keeping my mind in a loose and easy place - life to me is like a beautifully cinematic film scored with rousing orchestral music - which is perhaps why I'm a filmmaker and recording artist. I'm very committed to my art.
I was born in London, but I've lived and worked in many places all over the world. I've learned a lot by throwing myself into new cultures and experiences. I struggle to relate to arrogant people who have not traveled.
It may be asking a lot from a place like LA, but I'd like to meet a girl who shares my sense of wonder and amazement at the world; someone who can handle my spontaneity and honesty; who has a sense of humor; who's generally fearless, but also humble... oh, and someone who's not already dating three other guys would be nice.
Date single man from California, United States. You should know up front that I’m a mix of passions…
While I love L.A., I grew up in Michigan, so I love the sun, and I also love the seasons. My drive brought me out here and Ive met some very cool people and made some great friends; most of my extended family is back there (and coming from a large family, I really know the importance and value - family matters). I dig grabbing a drink at a bar, but I'm over the bar scene (there's a Match pitch in there somewhere). I’ve produced 3 indie films that you’ve only seen if you're really into film festivals and I continue to write and work on side projects; I also run the top GMAT team in the country at a test-prep company that you’ve probably heard of. Lots of things to keep me busy and excited; I'm still looking for her though...
I’m a bit of a nerd. I’m big on movies and TV with actual story (anything by Aaron Sorkin; Casablanca is what I strive for as a writer) especially long-form stories with an edge (Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, etc. - cable shows that would never be shown on a network) and edgy comedies (If you can quote Arrested Development, then you already have a place in my heart). And, of course, Star Wars (are you actually surprised?). I like puzzles, games (not the negative-dating-stereotype kind; more like Words With Friends, bar trivia, etc.) and all the good conversation that I can find.
I tend to be hands-on with weekend activities - projects (home improvement, etc.) or flea markets, for example, but sometimes Sunday is meant to be lazy. I'm a big fan of pets; I grew up with (and miss having) dogs, but with cats, I have a bit of an allergy (and somehow cats can tell and like to get up into my business). Sorry to the cat-ladies, but it probably won’t work between you, me and your cat(s). Hiking Runyon canyon is fun in-and-of itself (seriously; even if we never meet, you should try it; however, I can sweeten the deal with a Vitamin Water of your choosing); I can also live vicariously through all the dog-walkers.
I enjoy sporting events (always keeping tabs on my Detroit and Michigan teams), chocolate mint ice-cream, smart & clever people, infectious laughter (sarcasm will not be lost on me), a hard-driving rain, the sound of waves, beach-time (and other outdoor activities), stargazing on a clear night, quirky architecture (love The Getty), suffering through another season with the Detroit Lions (things are turning around though), finding a new bar or restaurant around town, sushi and the many surprises/discoveries around LA that there are to be found.
My perfect match? There's room to play here - smart, clever and funny are all big pluses as far as I'm concerned; please have an opinion about whatever subjects come up over drinks, coffee, caramels, whatever. I think that chemistry is organic - it happens when two people get together and see what happens. I do believe that she’s out there (and if she doesnt enjoy all the same things that I do, thats okay; I keep an open mind and I'll try new things - except for that thing about the cats). I don’t like to use the phrase “hopeless romantic”; I prefer “hopeful romantic”. I even know enough about Grey’s Anatomy to watch it with her (you?) and stay in the conversation (although you'll have to explain to me how anything could be McDreamy’s fault).
So take a chance. Click the button. Let’s see what happens.
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I'm looking to meet a really cool girl that is unique, confident, has an opinion, loves music, sports and traveling, and knows what she wants! I like a girl with a good personality, funny, not too dramatic, that has a good career, fun friends, and can hang with the guys.
I was born and raised in Chicago by an awesome family with many life long friends. I graduated with a BA in Architecture after spending my college years snowboarding and mountain biking at CU Boulder, Colorado. I moved to Los Angeles almost 14 years ago and I love it. After many years as a production designer for commercials, music videos and film, I have recently transitioned to producing and directing.
I've traveled to many great cities and countries, I appreciate different cultures and love a good adventure. I love going to concerts and movies, having a cup of coffee and walking around museums, or cooking at home and having a lazy night.
If you want to get out for a night, meet someone new and have good conversation let me know. I'm not too serious on the first date and just want to get out and meet some new people.

Date someone special from California, United States. Recently moved back to sunny California after 3 1/2 years in Denver. Back out in LA pursuing my dream (don't worry, not an actor). I received my degree in Marketing and have worked in various business/marketing positions over the years. I had a great time in those fields, but am now on the path of bringing together my passion and business skills.
Little more about me... I enjoy seeing the world, whether it's a backpacking trip through Cambodia and Vietnam or exploring the backstreets of a European city, I'm game for just about everything. It's important for me to get out of the country and comfort zone at least a few times a year. One of my goals is to hike to Everest base camp and maybe go a bit higher. I also love to ski and hike, but just as comfortable exploring the city I have been away from the last few years.
What am I looking for? Like most people, communication, trust and loyalty are key. More importantly, I want a woman who knows what she wants and where she's going; someone driven, smart, a good conversationalist and someone to challenge me intellectually. Regardless of your background or career path, a passion for what you do and life in general is essential.
Look forward to hearing from you...
Meet a man from California, United States. To start with:
me:
Ambitious, articulate, disciplined, structured, humble and dependable; young-at-heart with an old soul and laid-back,
charming, witty (at times), funny (I try anyway~), a realist and idealist, but genuinely grounded... essentially a true
gentleman, if you can appreciate that. Have a great relationship with the closest around me (family & friends).
YOU:
Someone who can challenge me, but knows when to relax... intelligent, at least be interesting; grounded, witty,
sexy (when applicable); enjoy quiet time at home. I've met women in the past from a range of ages - some younger
with a mature outlook and some older with an almost a puerile mindset... hopefully, there's a woman out there with
a balance in between and on both ends when the occasion calls for it... one who can see beyond the surface...
In any case, I have multiple projects going on in my life, so let's not waste each others' time. I hope you can
also bring something to the table. :)
Good Luck
Date single man from United States. I most recently worked as the Director of Conservation & Science for a game animal park in Alaska and continue to work as a science writer for international publications. I have lived in LA, Washington DC, Boston, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland (Hometown--Shaker Hts.), Upstate NY, MA Vermont and elsewhere overseas.
I just moved from rural Alaska to Anchorage and am now moving back to Los Angeles. I'm planning to move to Santa Monica or Venice by August 2012.
In the rare event that you are interested in a PhD bear biologist, who finally has time to settle down, please feel free to contact me.
I thought I would be married with kids by now and working for my family's commercial realestate business, but I ended up on another track.
I'm looking for someone who I can laugh with and can tolerate my dry sense of humor. If you are comfortable in your own skin and don't take life too seriously you are most likely a good fit for me. I'm no longer looking for perfect, but rather perfect for me. I wish you the best in your search and I hope you find what you are looking for.
Remember that looks can be deceiving.....
Meet a soulmate from United States. Currently on the road again and, as a result, I'm not in any locale for very long.
The monkey reference comes mostly from the fact that the movie character I've most been able to identify with is the CGI Kong from Peter Jackson's remake. Maybe I'm just not so evolved. Maybe I've just got a few too many primal streaks. Maybe I just like carrying my pretty gal around with me. Whatever the case, it was surprising but, well... kinda true.
I love to dance, laugh, need touch and would like to learn how to argue a bit more. Karaoke can be fun and it can be terrifying. I don't understand why anyone would wear their pants so low that it makes them waddle like a penguin. I don't really know what "Burning Man" is. I'm confused by lip piercings. There is beautiful graffiti and there is annoyingly, baffling graffiti. I am frustrated by the latter. I chew with my mouth closed.
I am very good at self-deprecation. No, I take that back. I'm awful at it.
You are strong, loving, dynamic and not afraid to call me on my BS. You enjoy life and you are a fan of just "being". You are the head-turner. You inspire me to sing "Save the Last Dance For Me". You wouldn't mind a witty email/IM exchange or grabbing said cup of coffee and then drinking it while in my company or, at the very least, in my general vicinity.
Date someone special from United States. Hi there! Thanks for visiting my profile, and I look forward to hearing from you. I'm Jeff - somewhat recent transplant from NYC, but originally from So Cal. I enjoy great conversation, and the discovery that is revealed through it. You'll find I am a great listener, I'm a good communicator, and I have an inner smart ass (but only for the sake of comedy).
And I have a cat. He could be a little better in the listening dept. He's awesome though. I get why people don't like cats, he's not any of those reasons.
Here are 11 things you should probably know about me -
1) I like to make lists
2) In a crowded bar, I am the quiet one (actually, all I really want to do is play a game of some kind - foosball, pool, darts..)
3) Speaking of games, I love to play them - Cribbage, poker, chess topping the list (a different list)
4) When I watch TV, I LOVE to put my feet up. My cat loves it too.
5) I give 100% to anything I do, the aforementioned included.
6) I put spinach in my smoothies
7) I love to play sports, any sports, I even played ice hockey once, and I don't even ice skate. Strangely, not much of a sports watcher, unless it's a social thing, then I'm all about it.
8) I'm a director, not in the film sense. I'm not bossy about it, I just point things out. I've learned to keep it shut though.
9) Who's got two thumbs and can do lots of things, mostly pretty well?
10) I don't like to point out obvious things
11) This is fun, let's keep going.
12) I am a musician, I play the piano, I can hear music and play it, when Gotye is going on about someone he used to know, I am listening to the compression on the bass and how well it sits with the Pizz strings buried in the mix.
13) I have a very organized mind, which is unfortunately where my organization ends.
14) I really enjoy laughing, love Louis CK. I can listen to him for hours.
15) I secretly visit cute overload, because I love animals.
16) I listen to jazz. Often.
17) I enjoy traveling, visiting interesting places, experiencing new things.
18) I also enjoy my comfort zone - But I enjoy it WAY more when i've come back to it.
19) I can be a little grabby, but I have a good touch and give fantastic massages. I even own candles!
20) My perfect night out involves live music, good food, a drink or two (captain on the rocks here, or a good cab), and #19.
21) I don't wear my hat backwards.
22) If you give me good cause, I might just let you win
That's enough about me for now. What about you?
Meet a man from United States. Writing an About Me profile is something I'm still perfecting. I think talking over a phone, or even meeting up for a coffee or tea tells you a lot more whether you connect with someone, rather than a written profile. But here goes:
I love learning about the world and the people around me. I believe that's the best way to cultivate empathy, connection, and ultimately a fulfilling life. I'm always looking to be growing, developing.
These words are important - Curiosity, Conversation, Connection. I love to travel and have been fortunate to grow up with and experience many different cultures throughout my life. My interests include hiking, theater, dancing, and listening to great live music (from hip hop, classical, to rock and world beat, and everything in between). Going to art exhibits is also something I enjoy.
Some of the things I can't live without include: nature/the outdoors, great/stimulating conversation, festivals, the fine arts (dance, art, music, literature), good comfort food and fine dining, travel.
I typically spend my weekends hanging out and exploring, watching good movies indie and commercial movies, hanging with friends engaging in stimulating conversation.
