I have one child, she's in college (in Texas) and is the coolest thing that has happened to me. I raised her from age 8, as her primary custodial parent. It was the hardest thing I've ever done and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world. She's getting married this year to a guy i really like, he's the son I never had.
My username is something someone called me back in college and, it's pretty accurate, I don't get upset about much of anything, and enjoy just being a nice person, I hold open doors, smile, and love people, I'm constantly amazed and pleased with how the vast majority of people are good people, and learn from them every day.
I read a few reviews and I figured I'd do a pro and con about me :-)
Pro:
-Employed, continuously for decades.
-I'll be a millionaire in a few years, it hasn't been easy, but I'm on track
-Love kids, and grandkids, animals.
-BS in Nursing a long time ago, and have a ton of experience in health care, have worked in hospitals all of my career, ER, ICU, currently in an OR type setting that's really a great job and cutting edge kind of stuff, I love it.
-Enjoy cooking (and eating)
-I'm a hands on person, I like to hold hands, hug, slip my hand on the small of your back when we're standing together, waiting in line, etc...
-Traffic doesn't bother me, unless I'm late for work.
Con:
-I honestly had a pretty wild youth, but got my act together as an adult decades ago (LOL, no felony charges from my youth, but to be honest there could have been, and I did inhale)
-I'm not particularly forgiving of people that are dishonest or untrustworthy, it's a woman's prerogative to fudge her age a bit, but the important stuff matters.
Neutral:
-Am a morning person, you probably need to be one as well, I wake up in a good mood, especially if I have some coffee/espresso machine, coffee grinder, and some dark whole bean coffee handy.
-Am a gadget hoarder, have had an iPad since they came out, and of course I have the new one, and a handful of phones at any given time, a Kindle, etc... I invest in the sector, and use that as an excuse to buy gadgets :) This could be a plus, when you drop your phone in the sink, I always have a spare for you.
-Have been married (and divorced) twice, both ex's are remarried, no drama with them, and very little contact either, I think they're happy and I'm happy for them.
-I'd like to find someone to marry/have a long term relationship/live with, in no rush, and one of my favourite quotes is "Reality is what happens while we're attempting to plan for the future."
-I can be stoic, best I can figure it's from growing up in the middle of no where, and being comfortable with silence, unfortunately, I've met a few people that assume I'm brooding or unhappy, that's far from the case, I've caught myself missing my turn off on the highway because i was thinking so hard about something I just heard on the radio.
-I'm frugal, it's difficult to save money, but I have no debit, and while that trip to Bora Bora would rock, I don't want to be poor when I'm old, you need to be on board with deferred gratification.
-Sometimes, being around very sick people takes a lot out of me emotionally, and my job is demanding, emotionally, and physically, (recently I had to change my scrubs 3X in the same day because they were drenched in sweat, and I'm not a sweaty guy). I'm very good at it, but sometimes I need a recharge, and someone that has the time to just cuddle and be there.
Pro tip: I have been focused on retiring comfortably for nearly 2 decades now, if you're inclined to think that way as well, we may be a very good match.

What can only be described in the technical sense a man rocks forward in the recliner - his first movement in hours - causing the cats and cockroaches alike to scurry to safer environs. He gathers his immense frame and after slogging through beer cans and assorted left overs as he crosses the room, he leans over the ancient 13" tube flickering only in shades of gray and teetering upon a 3rd generation hand-me-down Ikea fibre board bookcase.
He rocks the rotary knob 3 to the right. After a pause he curses the static with all that is unholy and whips the dial 6 clicks back to the left and paws at the gnarled coat hanger reluctantly serving as an antenna. Padding back to his tattered throne he grabs a huge stack of Lottos and settles in to watch for his numbers.

Ok, now picture pretty much the opposite of all that. I love art, have just a bit of style, I'm active and can be found at the beach playing volleyball or cycling the strand, serving at church or volunteering for a cause.
And I've never lost at the Lotto. Imagine the luck!
