I enjoy the mountains, ocean and most nature related activities, but movies, theatre, fine dining and wine tasting are up there as favorites as well. I love living in California as it really is a world class place with all that it offers. I am a huggy bear kind of guy and cuddling is a must for me! Though not in the past few years, I've backpacked, camped, kayaked and rafted and XC skied throughout the Sierra. The big trip being a 50 mile winter crossing of the Sierra near Mt Whitney. I love adventure!
I have a dry sense of humor which can be sarcastic, and I enjoy making people laugh. I absolutely love conversation about all sorts of subjects, and I am open minded. I have been told I have a radio voice, which women seem to love. Maybe you would too?
I have a 7 year old boy whom I have shared custody with. He is a beautiful, passionate, sensitive little redhead and he is the light of my life. But I have room in my heart for the woman who can embrace he as well as I. I'm not looking for a replacement mother for him. His mom is and I will raise him well, even apart.
In appearance I am:blonde blue eyed, 6'2" 225 lbs. Deep voice. Fairly fit considering I have a desk job and have to balance work and life.

Meet someone special from Pioneer, United States. I am a man who wants what every other man wants on this site, a woman who is far too good for me but thinks I’m just the greatest creation of human evolution. But mental stability is also a plus, so I don’t know how I could have both. Maybe someone just tailor made, and I am a believer that there is someone just right for everyone out there. With luck, she lives around the states of my arbitrary search range. I cannot know (ah but I do muse) what my partner will look like. I have my preferences, but beyond some modest basics, what I consider important is that she will be kind and energetic, intelligent and engaging, optimistic and not sullen, sensitive but able to take what life dishes out, and usually manage to keep a handle on her emotions. She’d be a paradox (I think there’s one out there somewhere)... strong, reasonable, stable, yet vulnerable, intuitive, and spontaneous... enough of all, not too much of one. Balanced, or willing to work on it. I strive to be, and still we are not perfect.
If you’re a bit taller, that’s wonderful. I appreciate statuesque women, shorter women, eye to eye women equally. A good disposition is most important, and cultural similarity will enable us to communicate more easily and forms a basis of common experience and perception. Our physical attraction can only be revealed by our meeting, of course. Intellectual attraction can only be ascertained through conversation and sharing. We’ll gauge intellect and interests. Example, if I say, “Don Quixote”, please, don’t say “Donkey Who?” (that actually happened to me once, yikes). As for the rest, we can be flexible, adaptable, and allow familiarity, then maybe even love, to grow rather than expect it to be up and running right out of the box. I don’t work that way (anymore). I’d expect my partner to be equally discriminating. Wishful thinking and fools rushing in are all things of our past. Agreed!
I guess I’d better give you my impressions of myself: Fit, smarter than I need to be, polite, rational, reasonable, and love to converse. I dress up and down well, or not at all, too. I respect you in public and private and am attentive and deferential without suffocating you. I treasure knowledge. I’m inventive, creative, resourceful. I’ve landed big jets on volcanic islands at night in a snowstorm and am handy with mechanical and gardening tools, and household appliances. I can be driven, or laid back. Depending.
I like chocolate with a good cabernet , old Scotch, herb stuffing, and am a hell of a kisser. I can cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner by myself from scratch (for 35, I’ve done it), love the smell of mesquite wood smoke from my fireplace and while grilling steaks (rarer these days). I love to laugh and joke, revel in smiling faces, marvel at lightning and pink cotton candy clouds at sunset, wonder at the stars, notice the sparkling leaves rustling in the wind. I like nature and have always enjoyed being out in it. I am a self Employed Business Man. I have aspirations to write... short stories, and I write passable poetry. Your friends.
