Those are interests that my daughter has taught me about and we ride often. Likewise, I look forward to learning your interests and participating with you. From scuba diving at Catalina Island to climbing Mt. Rainier, I enjoy our world top to bottom. Whether is backpacking or day hikes at the local parks, you will see me on the trails. When it comes to travel, my passport is at hand. Europe, Africa and Alaska are favorites. Making an around the world trip is a dream I want to make come true. As a pilot, I have flown a Cessna all over the US, Canada and Mexico. It's not necessary to enjoy all these things, but to me it is most important that we would discover some outdoor adventure that we can enjoy together.
In theater, I have acted, been involved in sound and lights and always enjoy a good show. You will find that I am at home in the kitchen and might ask you to take cooking classes with me. Cooking scrumptious meals and hosting dinner parties are part of my repertoire. Do you sing or play an instrument? My guitar is waiting to accompany us. "All the world's a stage" as Shakespeare said.
Having mentioned my daughter, you should know that she is 11 and with me during the school year. Together we enjoy outdoor adventures, travel and the obligatory daddy/daughter dances. She has become quite the downhill skier and accomplished horseback rider.
When I am wrong, I am willing to admit that and I am quick to forgive. You will learn that I am a man of faith and spirituality but "religion" has little interest to me. You would find that I am active in helping our country and state elect progressive candidates. The words humble, caring and generous are traits that I work towards. Well I guess you are right, or I guess I have lost it as far as being appealing to fun attractive women.Let me jump into a profile in brief so to speak!
Born and raised in Southern California, upland/Ontario/Claremont area. Was always doing stuff in the Mountains and Skiing & boating on the Colorado River. I acquired a love for rock climbing backpacking and mountaineering. Managed to get out of High school early through work programs and being sick of the LA basin smog, I hit the road with a buddy, climbing were ever we could, and doing odd jobs during the travel if cash was short, couldn’t bare to call my folks for money,(to Independent & proud) rolled into Ft.Collins around 1975-76, Ran out of gas & on College ave. started doing dishes and prep work in a restaurant, moved into management training. The first few years inColo my career was convoluted. Finally got a respectable job with the City at The Lincoln Center. Coordinating events, great gig, 1980 was in a single car accident with GF at the time. Paralyzing right below the chest down! Doc said hey you are the same guy , Now you’ll just be using a chair and ya need to do things a little different. Focusing on the positive! I was still kicking and my GF didn’t get seriously hurt, I rehabbed and started my new life, formed a non-profit sports group, (Now Defunked) starting doing track and road racing and found my calling, thru 1997 was one of the top marathon road racers in the country and world. Several years went by , moved back to So Cal(ICK) to help run the family business. It’s too long of a story but took an early retirement,( it’s never to early if you can swing it ) sold my house and moved back to Ft Collins co. were I really wanted to be. (not a lot of guys rollin around like me!)
Began to recreate myself to an extent. Found a great house, a great new job and life is good! I’m in Windsor now in a beautiful lake home! Work in Greeley’s Leisure Services depart. In marketing!, cultural arts& rec. I really don’t any fave type things, I’m always up for a ride to the mountains or almost any were to have a coffee, drink, lunch,beer and or wine tasting excursions are great fun always nice to enjoew new surroundings, I ride the hand bike on the River trail, actually really like hanging out on my deck enjoying the View (I’m on 150 acres Colo wildlife area), love to entertain, BBQ, almost always up for a movie either in or out! Hoping to make a new friend, someone special to do fun stuff with and more. Hopefully romance is a possibility.
