(1) Each day somewhere 12 newborns are mistakenly given to the wrong parents? I was one of them when born. True!
(2) At age 12-13, I played the violin in primary school for a year followed by a year the cello in Jr. High? Herein, I would learn girls do mature faster and maybe meaner too!
Knowing a fairly �cute’ Chinese American girl (Caroline Tse who with an older sister Helen, both on piano), the younger one I believed liked me, but I perceived only as a mere pest. Unknowingly one day, Caroline would sneak from behind and yank the chair from under me as I tuned my cello. On the floor and cello atop (of me), orchestra members all but laughed as Caroline stormed away chest pounding proud with a trail of flaming smoke! Teenage years can be brutal.
Whenever I see the Peanut cartoon strip where Lucy asks Charlie Brown to attempt a kick while she promises to hold the football only to have it pulled away at the very last moment and poor Charlie doing a 360 in the air, I am reminded of Caroline! If I only knew to wear rear view mirror glasses, seat belts or a crash helmet to orchestra that faithful day! True Story! I’ve never been the same since, you think?
(3) In Jr High School I was once asked to consider a transfer to another school not for bad behavior, actually I was an "A" student, but because in our family with more than one boys sharing the same first name created an administrative nightmare our school record? True!
(4) As a freshmen in University, my very 1st college mid-term exam in Animal Science, when asked to name different types of horses I wrote down a female horse and a male horse? True! Hey, I 'm from the city! Actually, it wasn't clear to me what the prof. was seeking!
(5) Also as a freshmen, in search of new social activities I once came across a posting for a party, "come for a gay time" I thought "gay" meant come for a great time. Whew! Thank goodness I didn't go! True!
(6) Once invited to attend Las Vegas' Consumer Electronic Show (CES) as a substitute attendee, my badge read "BUYER" for "Benjo Electronics", a fake company. Another CES attendee ever so convinced, never once believed when I repeatedly volunteered the name on the badge was not me!!! He concluded I was some Corporate "Hot Shot" executive trying to brush him off, even asking to join myself and an associate dinner at the same table. True! I should have lied!!! I think he thought I was going to lift him out of poverty!
Favorite comedy: NBC's "My Name is Earl" whenever I do catch this show? True! Being wacky is not always bad. More recently, ABC's "Just For Laughs".
FYI - You'll find myself to be modest, caring and a reflective person, described once as cerebral, i.e. intutitive & insightful. In private moments, e.g. you might catch me pondering what a person may have been like in their prime, their former beauty, or prior position in life, or their current thoughts. Such moments when shared can be quite funny!
FYI - Parents and married friends still marvel at my single status and perceived qualifications! My ideal person - Genuine and sincere with a good heart. Would be nice if this person enjoys creativity and things novel. A visual person would be nice.
