Date someone special from United States. Hi. I’m back on Match, hoping to introduce myself to interested and interesting girls/women/ladies. I had to take time off to roll out a wild small business that raises funds for public high schools.
A thoughtful girlfriend of my from back int 7th grade saw my first listing and wrote to say I was being too negative.
I do have my share of baggage; but, I handle my own bags pretty well and am not looking for any sort of assistant porter (nor to be one).
It's just that I'm a non-normative kind of guy in a whole lot of ways; and, if I were more normative a fine fellow, I'd assume my chances of would be just that much better.
However, if any of you out there think your soul mate might come in the form of a UC brat who grew up in the Berkeley of the hippie days, feel free to kick my tires.
If you like some of the following, I'm fun company: academics, motorcycling, camping/backpacking, fencing, little theaters, calligraphy, community service, semi-serious wiseguys, yard work (not at the gray-bar hotel), critters, the shade, talking/listening, Bay Area tripping, standard schnauzers named Gimli, The Hobbit, Shakespeare's comedies and whole wheat pancakes. Live music is nice.
I put in the picture of me in my purple tunic because I'd very much like to meet a girl who could enjoy dressing up in costume and going to one of the local Pleasure Faires--like they just had in Fremont. After all, chivalry is as close to having a religion as I get.
When I put down that I wanted to meet someone who's fit and toned, I don't mean ripped. I'd like to meet someone who smart about being healthy, i. e., walks instead of runs, carries a little fat, lets her muscles have some recovery time, understands the value of cooling down, works opposing muscle groups, etc. Me and Gimli have gotten in 2 -3 mi. walking the hills every night, for the last 8 years. I've got a 5-pack from doing 400 crunches, 3 times per week, for the last year. I do fencing exercises that would kill a lot of people--we use atypical muscles groups. Plus, stretching daily, some light, high rep free-weights and fairly demanding yard work.
I notice that a lot of women want some who can make them laugh or go on a sojourn of personal discovery. I tend to be bit more serious than most, but I do get some laughter from a wry sense of humor.
I make a good audience and I like to show off at the things I like to do--with hopes of finding a similar showoff.
Since I'm pretty smart and skillful at a lot of things, it would be nice to meet women who are or who intend to be accomplished in their own right--smarter than myself would be just fine. 127.
I'm going to do my best to keep things on a platonic level because I'd like to introduce myself to as many fine women as possible, in a ethical way.
Please, one thing to keep in mind is that I'm not a great fit for someone who's particularly sensitive. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a better fit for a girl who wouldn't have a hard time telling me to cool my jets, every now and again.
