Date someone special from Dixon, United States. I do not like this very much. I would hope that if there is interest then you would take the time to find out who I am. I hav ebeen told by friends of both genders that I am a unique man but born in the wrong era. I believe in opening doors, pulling out chairs, chivalry, and men and women being very different beings. i am very thankful for this also!!
I am looking for honesty, truth, intelligence, fun, humour, and one that likes travel. Apperance does matter to me but is not the most important trait.
let us find out and discover!!
Meet single man from Dixon, United States. I was born and raised in a large family in Caribou, Maine where traditional family values and a strong work ethic prevailed. I practice these values in my everyday life. My strong family values has rewarded me with one grown son for whom I am very proud. As a young man, a stint in the Navy introduced me to a warmer climate and decided to stay.
With age comes wisdom, therefore the simpler things have become a priority. Spending time with family and friends, enjoying an afternoon at a yard sale, local festival, antique mall, Giants ball game, car show, or movie theater are a few examples. I try to walk daily for my health but would prefer a lady to accompany me sharing our day's ups and downs. By walking together after a day's work, we not only benefit from the exercise but will thrive on the “down time” and conversation. My lifelong interest in automobiles has influenced my career choice. Automobiles are also my hobby priority, yet I am open in learning and experiencing a partner's interests. I am gifted with an extreme mechanical ability; no household or car repair intimidates me. I actually enjoy working around the house.
I think it is essential to have mutual interests as we enjoy our middle age, and hopefully, our golden years together. But I also respect the occasional time for one's space, each person enjoying alone time to dabble in a want or need. There is something assuring and comforting to know we have our independence yet can look forward to spending quality time when we are back together. I am told I have a dry sense of humor. I must admit I can find levity in most situations. The old adage, laughter is the best medicine, has a lot of credibility. I am faithful, trustworthy, and respectful. Friendship is the foundation of an intimate, long term relationship, so I think it is important to start slow.
