Life is definitely not boring and I try to take advantage of most of my waking moments. I'm not one to turn down invitations and find I am game to try most things at least once. I know, I know, my pictures don't quite show that wild fearless side of me but it's there. Finding a halfway attractive picture of me, sans makeup, jumping off a cliff into the water or swimming rapids is not an easy task.

I love to laugh and to make a woman laugh, in my belief, is one of a man's purposes in life, but there are a couple of other things that might substitute! I smile and laugh easily and don't think our lives are long enough to be negative or sad for too long. As you may be able to tell, even after living through widowhood I am quite a positive optimistic person and look for the same in others. Kindness, humor and intelligence are of great value to me. I'm quite an independent girly girl, and looking for another confident independent soul to enjoy doing things with, and I may even drag you to a usually boring corporate dinner or two every once in a while if you play well with others and dress up okay--or not, if that isn't your thing. Exercise and being outside are high priorities since I spend most of my day at a desk working hard which I do enjoy. During the week I'm a gym rat, but I love the beach, camping, gardening, biking, hiking and swimming (especially in the warm waters of Hawaii with my bro--even though he usually surfs while I swim). Like many, travel is of high interest and I'm ready and willing to go most anywhere, especially if someone else has the time to plan it. I just spent two weeks on a raft trip paddling down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon which was heaven to me (for the beauty, the rock formations, the sun, the water, the stars, and because my blackberry had no service!). I would do it again in a minute. Now I'm looking for my next great adventure. I think it may be learning to flyfish. Care to join me?
