After a 3-year absence, I'm back on Match for the third time. Even though my last two experiences didn't work out in the long run, I feel that they were both very successful. It just wasn't meant to be. I'm returning with more of an open mind on some aspects of what I'm looking for but a little more certainty of what is necessary in a long lasting relationship. I've found that the online dating game has changed a lot since my last stint. It seems as if each gender is playing with a different chemistry set.
I’m a jack of all trades but not particularly great at any one thing in specific (I think above average is pretty good though, right?). Contrary to what you may read in this paragraph from this point forward (remember, I’m trying to appeal to at least one of you out there by bragging a little bit about myself), I’m quite humble. I’m artistic, athletic, blunt, caring, creative, educated, funny, honest, nerdy, responsible, romantic, sweet, trustworthy…and a little OCD (you may have noticed that I alphabetized my traits, ha ha).
I’m a night owl that gets up at 4:00 am during the week for work. I’m a dog person with two cuddly cats (and yes, I talk baby talk to them)…and no dogs. My natural eyelashes are probably longer than yours and I could probably kick your butt at Minesweeper…just saying that I welcome all challengers for either. I have a bucket list that contains both serious and fun things on it from buying a house and getting married to learning how to unicycle and play the harmonica (not together…baby steps).
My favorite time of year is when girl scouts sell their cookies so I can stock up on Thin Mints and keep them in my freezer. When Ellen DeGeneres laughs, it makes me cry because I’m usually laughing so hard. I adore Flo’s (from the Progressive commercials) personality. I have a state crush on Oregon. I will most likely make fun of any reality shows you watch and then sit down and watch them with you, getting invested with the storyline and ask questions for you to catch me up on what I missed (in that order and this cycle will continue every week). My car’s name is Tim (which will be obvious when you see him) and he’s not a super expensive, gas guzzling sports car; he’s a reliable, gas friendly four-door car ready to haul around my future family someday.
When I was a kid, I wanted Ariel from The Little Mermaid to be my girlfriend (I hadn’t figured out the logistics on how that relationship would work being that she lives at the bottom of the sea and is a cartoon) and wanted a career as a jester in medieval times (not the restaurant, Medieval Times, the actual medieval time period - again, my imagination overpowered my logic).
In a significant other, I'm looking for someone that is active, funny, honest, motivated, responsible (again with the OCD)...basically someone with my same traits and morals as me except better looking.
