Date someone special from Davis, United States. I am a 71 year old retired attorney, a widow, described by friends as pretty, who has lived in Davis for 24 years. I love it here. I live in a nice house in an attractive neighborhood. Although my house is too big for me now, I don't want to move because my neighbors are so wonderful.
I am bookish, read a lot in the evenings, mostly history, biography, and mysteries.j I have just published a scholarly book on the Armenian Genocide, but I'm not terribly academic. I enjoy European travel twice each year. When home, you'll find me at University Farm Circle events, a dinner club or playing Mah Jong with friends. I also enjoy sporting events, playing cards, cooking, short trips to the Bay Area, Carmel, and Monterrey, and just sitting around and chatting. I am generally happy, but miss male companionship and conversation.
My late husband and I spent many vacations in Turkey, photographing ruins of Armenian churches in Turkey (Historic Armenia); the 156 photos are now on the website of the Armenian Studies Program at Fresno State. (No, neither one of us have Armenian ancestry.) We also taught summer school in Turkey for two summers. We were also able to travel in other countries in the Middle East and Europe. Our 2007 trip to Iran was perhaps the most unusual of our trips. Since his death, I have discovered rivercruising, a fun way to see the rural parts of Europe.
I would like to find a partner who enjoys reading, is educated, somewhat liberal politically, and who is kind and loving. I need a partner who understands my need for spirituality in my life and who need not be religious but who is not antagonistic towards religion.
Meet a woman from Davis, United States. I am looking for a friend and companion who enjoys some of the same things that I enjoy and will share them with me. Then I hope good chemistry and communication will lead to a loving relationship. I am outgoing and open, kind and energetic. I enjoy getting to know people who have a positive attitude about living life fully. I'm good at organizing things and enjoy making things happen. I do lots of volunteer activities, and I love to travel and am curious about many things. I'm open to trying new things and ready to share my interests and feelings with others. I love to hike and take walks and want a companion who has energy for those activities too. I love being outdoors, and I also love going to museums and learning new things about art. I want to get to know someone well enough to understand and trust them and for them to understand and trust me. I hope that anyone I meet will be open to trying new things as I will be to try new things that he likes. I would love to go to the theater, to concerts, on walks and hikes, on trips both short and long, to dinners and lunches in restaurants with someone with whom I can have interesting and even exciting conversations, and that means that the other person is willing to open up and share himself with me. I am active in the Jewish community and see belonging to some community as important for my mental health, but sharing religious views is not critical to me as long as there is mutual respect. I enjoy my two grown sons and my two grand children, but I don't feel the need to integrate everything in my life into any new relationship. I am very grateful for my good health, my wonderful friends and family, my financial security, and the many exciting and satisfying parts of my life, but it would enhance my life greatly to have a man in my life to love and be loved by, someone to share my life's adventures with..
Date a soulmate from Davis, United States. I'd like to meet someone who is intelligent, witty, and kind. A man who likes to sing, likes cats, does yoga and takes good care of himself because, if he cares about himself then he cares about others and ultimately he'll care about me.
Meet someone special from United States. My father used to say, "to thine own self, be true." I've tried to live my life with that direction and consequently I am a happy person with few regrets.
I am a retired teacher who enjoys painting, writing, photography, gardening, friends, family and of course the internet.
