I've lived in this beautiful place a long time, availing myself of all it has to offer, and loving every minute. Music "rocks my boat": blues, jazz, classical, opera... even country. If a band has a beat, it's hard to keep me off the dance floor. I go often to Kuumbwa, a local jazz club, which has world class artists. My movie tastes are mostly of an intimate nature (no blockbuster, car-chase, disaster, or chick-flicks for me). Most of all, I love to laugh, especially at myself. Having fun is a high priority.
I also have a serious side. I'm deeply into world affairs, politically and culturally, and welcome lively conversations about these subjects. My passion is my volunteer work: CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). I advocate for and mentor a child in child protective custody. There is a fun factor built into this as well, since I don't have grandchildren of my own.

Now retired, my life's work was in the travel industry, so I'm well traveled. I still like to go, but prefer shorter trips like SF (I go often), wine country, or even NYC. . I just re-read my profile and became painfully aware that I spent way too much time in math instead of english classes throughout my formative years. Needless to say, I made a few revisions. I admit to missing out on many wonderful adventures in life by not having one very special gentleman to share life with, for some time now. I miss the warmth, familiarity in a smile and closeness that a man...a very special, intelligent, fun-loving insightful man can create as well as those soft warm moments just being together anywhere and just sharing a glance in the moment.
Even though I should be seeking a Creative Writing college professor, I am basically seeking someone who knows how and when to be a gentlemen, is comfortable in a variety of social settings and who also spends time with family/friends/the guys. Is lively, passionate, creative, sexy, playful, great wit, mischievous, a sparkle in his eyes; as well as quiet, thoughtful and challenging at times. Born and raised in Santa Clara County, more specifically, Monte Sereno. Raised my (3) children after beginning a career fresh out of college as a Medical Transcriber at Stanford. Following a move, spent several years in the construction industry, both field and in corporate settings. Projects ranged from custom residential to large commercial and retail buildings as well as notable projects like the San Jose Light Rail and other government projects.
Referencing my marital status; of the choices provided, completing my divorce is the current status. With friends support, discovered that being incomplete in this area was inconsistent with the possibility of creating an amazing future with a special gentleman who also values integrity.
I enjoy meeting new people and discovering other ways of moving forward that continue to enrich my life and others.
