I live by the beach and cherish the fact that I can just drive to wonderful places such as Carmel, Pebble Beach, Los Gatos, San Francisco, and Napa. Date someone special from California, United States. I like to stay active and set new goals for myself. I recently completed an 8 hour hike in Yosemite and am looking forward to a 10k race and mud run. I like the motivation of knowing I have an 'event' to do. I'm open to try pretty much any outdoor activity. Except maybe sky diving--- I'm not convinced that jumping out of a plane is 'fun'.
I love to travel. I think weekend trips are just as important as trips that require a passport. Getting perspective on life from seeing how other people live keeps things fresh. I've driven across the country a couple of times, and done some traveling abroad, but there is a LOT of the planet I still want to see. Next trip planned is to Ireland in the Fall. I hear it should be rainy.
One of my mottos is - I work to live, not live to work. I enjoy my job and have a good time with my co-workers and am comfortable with where I'm at- but I'm definitely not a workaholic. I do my time and get out! Don't get me wrong, I'm good at what I do- I just don't define myself by what I do for a living.
I enjoy going to the theater, opera, ballet and symphony. It would be nice to have someone who shared an interest in the theater or at least was willing to humor me once in a while.

Sitting in front of the TV 24/7 does not appeal to me at all. Someone with sharp intelligent wit is a huge bonus.
