. My friends would describe me as extremely dependable with occasional spurts of spontaneity. I?m really more of a planner and I enjoy all that goes into organizing cool outings and picnics. I love 3-day weekends - even if they only involve catching up on chores around the house. (I would, however, have to squeeze in at least one good meal, movie, and bottle of wine!) I am completely fine with staying in and curling up with a book ? but I do like to play dress-up every once in a while. I love movies, theater, ballet, the symphony, rock concerts and college football games. AU or AL? - it don?t matter.
I would have to say I am most attracted to dreamers, but only the ones that are able to keep both feet on the ground ? those are a rare find. If that is you, would you please let me know? I am not a shy person at all, but I do tend to shy away from certain personality types (i.e. heavy sarcasm and angry white men). Pretentiousness is a turn OFF - wittiness and kindness is a turn ON.
I believe that 2 is better than 1. And I do dream of finding and spending the rest of my life with my super best friend and love(r).
To give you an idea of what I would hope for in a husband in case you have read this far?.
I would look to my husband to be the spiritual leader. YES!?really. Yet no one would ever hear me refer to him as my ?soul mate? because for me personally, Jesus is the only one who can truly fulfill that role. Whether we admit it or not, I think all of us women seek validation from the special man in our lives, but I have found a man can only give so much - and that job should not fall squarely on his shoulders. No, his job would be to make me laugh!!! And I see it as my job to be a cheerful helper who is quick to laugh with him. Because I choose to see things this way, it means that spiritual compatibility and being evenly-yoked with someone in a relationship is key.
Stable finances are important to me ? I am talking about responsible spending habits ? because I believe they are indicators of how someone responds to everything in life. I have found spendthrifts to be negligent and unreliable while penny-pinchers choke the life out of everything. I strive to maintain a healthy balance between those two extremes, so I would hope for that in someone else.
I hope I attract the kind of guy that prefers golden retrievers or labs over the little yappie dog. But if that is not the case, I could adjust. I actually have two cats. They take care of me while my 2 kids are away visiting their Dad. Their Dad ? he lives nearby and plays a very active role in their lives ? so please know that I am not looking for any kind of replacement to fill any void there. Instead, my children and I would see him as an enhancement to our lives. My children are kind and they love deeply. They inspire me to live strong and healthy.
While looks are not the most important thing to me, they are somewhat. What I really like to see is a man that takes care of himself as I work very hard to do the same. I know that most men tend to be visual creatures, so I do try to look my best, but I gotta keep it real. I?ve seen too many nice women fall into the trap of focusing so much on outer beauty (that eventually fades) they neglect maintaining their inner beauty. Inner beauty increases as a woman ages if only she will keep working on it. It is my goal as a girlfriend / wife to be captivating to my boyfriend/husband.
Laughter is my favorite emotion. (BTW, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, the late John Candy, and Jim Carry are the kind that make me laugh until I cry.) I have learned that crying is a healthy thing ? but self pity is destructive to one?s self and others.
