I raised my wonderful kids as a single mother and am extremely proud of how they have grown up to be good people with caring hearts. My youngest, son, is in college and my oldest, daughter, was married in September. So now it's just the dogs, the birds and me. I have a great job which is very important but I am fortunate, after all these years, to not have to work long hours. However, I am up at 4:00 a.m. I work out six days per week, cycle and love to hike. I grew up in Eastern Washington, went to college in Portland, Oregon where I lived for thirteen years then moved to Atlanta for seven. I've been in the Bay area for a bit over eight years now and love it.
I would love to meet someone who is active and loves to travel. I enjoy participating in races (running, triathlons, cycling) with a co-worker and good friend so if you're up for joining us, that would be great. I'm a good cook (attended a French culinary school many years ago) but only for others. I will eat a bowl of cereal for dinner as I don't really enjoy cooking for myself. As far as the type of man I am looking for - I will know when I find him. I don't like to place people in a box because people are complex and never are how they first appear. However, a few things that are important to me is that he must be athletic, definitely not uptight and a man of his word. Must be social and love animals. I don't do well with the shy type and prefer a strong self-assured man. I am independent as I have been divorced for 18 years but have had several long-term relationships during that time.
