I also have the experience of helping to raise 2 beautiful Persian/Iranian teenage step daughters to adulthood in the past without ever having a harsh word with either of them. I was awarded full legal and phyiscal custody of my son by the court system about 4 years ago. The presiding judge announced to the court that I was a true hero and was to be commended. It was the nicest compliment I have ever received in my life!

I'm not a health freak by any means. I do love my German Chocolate Cake and Apple pie for sure. And I have to force myself to stay away from the Cheesecake Factory!!

I stay fit and active by going to the gym regularly and trying to venture out on trips with my kids when I can. My responsibility for my kids are important, but they are becoming more independent as they are getting older and at times they don't want me to hang around...:). They are all out in college now, except one who just graduated and on his own working in China of all places.... so they are mostly on their own. I have been a single Dad for six years and only two live with me 100% of the time now going to college. Financially they somewhat still rely on me, so I'm obligated to meet them there and will be there for them for a little time until they graduate and weened off at that time. I also have my free time and time available for myself and sharing my life with someone special more and more as they get older.
