I was then raised on a farm in OKLA with all the trimmings, chickens, horses, cows, large garden, FIVE ponds, farm was a big part of our food every year, we were poor, but VERY happy, 7 of us in less than 700 ft, a lot of HARD work for all of us, a good thing, we never knew we were poor, I remember the first time I ever went to a CITY and said OMG people LIVE like this ... How? amd WOW! actually still have those moments!
I married my highschool sweetheart, he died of a brain tumor 11 years later. I had my daughter at 17 son 19, after my husband died I could not have made it without my parents, they are were a God send, both of them are gone, as well 3 of 4 brothers have past away, all my grand parents and 2 of my BEST girlfriends breast cancer ... to much loss out there these days ... God do I miss all of them,
I'm a low key girl, as well I love the opera, theater, plays, musicals, I can dress casual or dress up with the best of them. I do love to dress up and go out sometimes! I do not like cold weather full time, would have to have a trade off, so if you live where it is COLD and full time we would not make good partners, sorry, as well I am not a motorcycle girl just NOT my thing, or the long hair and beards, more of the clean cut girl, nothing personal, just WHO I aam, if you want to do it is fine with me, we at this stage and place in OUR LIFE'S have the right to be who we are and do things seperatly, in fact it is a GOOD thing to have somethings that are just OURS. A rustic cabin is as appealing as the Four Seasons. I'd like a partner that is able to really enjoy travel, the outdoors and also the simple pleasure of being at home.
I exercise a lot, running with friends several days a week, hiking, playing tennis or golf. Fitness is very important to me but I'm not fanatical about it. Most travel is pretty active with hiking, snorkeling, skiing or just exploring a new area, either near or far.
My children are all grown and self sufficient college graduates. They all live on their own, unfortunately not close, but we are great friends and like to play together but it's not the same as having my own best friend, lover, and playmate.
I rarely sleep late, feeling that I would be missing the greatest part of the day. An early morning run or walk to the beach for breakfast is a great way to start the day. I can ski hard during the day and still dress up for a nice evening. My friends say that I have a lot of energy but I'm equally happy with a lazy day, a good friend, good novel, fireplace and a friendly pooch.
I'm pretty easy going and don't get rattled easily. Life is pretty good and too short to worry over the little things. There are a lot of things to do and places to see, and I try to balance work and play to get the best of both worlds.
