I am a fifty year old male from the east coast and have been here in Pleasanton, CA for 5 months. I really do not want to write a whole lot, as most all say the same thing, I will keep this brief. I really LOVE the outdoors, cannot seem to get enough here in CA. I have visited American river for some white water rafting, North Shore Tahoe snowmobiling, Cambria, Camel, Mur Wood etc… Although I do not have a 30 year old body, I do work out regularly and walk/hike every day. Oh cannot forget about NAPA, I do like the red wines!
I have two grown children and two grandchildren that I miss greatly, as they are on the east coast. Will tell more to the right one.

Did I mention that I like to cook and have been told I’m not too bad at it.
And of course I can’t forget the Livermore valley and it many wineries. A nice time to bring you and picnic goodies and enjoy a beautiful, relaxing day. I will finally be able to start workin’ out again once my foot is completely healed which will be about the middle of July. I enjoy doing cardio and using the other weights/ machines. I am looking for friendship/companionship to enjoy these things and also whatever you might like to do. If it works into a LTR, that would be great. I am a one women man, not a player or see more than one girl at a time. I know how it feels, it’s happened to me once too often. I do not like camping unless it includes a daily hot shower, tropical setting and room service. Describe myself? Nice guy...somewhat eccentric...not your meat and potatoes Craftsmen toolbelt Mister Fix-It. Well read, well traveled, charming, fairly sophisticated, wear my heart on my sleeve. Extremely sharp, cleans up well, has been known to dance and sing sometimes without warning!
I do not believe in love at first site but I do believe in 'lust' at first site or some variant of a strong desire to run fingers through hair and hold one another close...and that has to be there...sooner than later too... or later ain't coming.
I am really hopeful every time I meet someone that I will end up having to meet no one else. I am also very much aware that the odds of that happening are 8 gajillion, three thousand and 4 to 1...I know this because I am a genius and I have calculated it. Nonetheless I remain optimistic and hopeful, Quixote-like I continue to tilt at windmills and I am sure that sooner then later if I keep my eyes, arms and heart wide open and someone out there does the same...the magic is gonna happen.
I will probably never cure cancer, write a best selling novel, or end up in Newsweek in the Obituary section when I die. On the plus side I have most of my teeth (none of us keep all of them), hair, some muscle tone, the ability to dance (albeit like a white man), a powerful sense of humor, sometimes morbid, often ironic, sweet at times as well. I have a good job that I love, I don't drink too much, or do drugs at all, and I won't ask you to be anything to me that I cannot be to you-at least I will give it the college try...we are only what we are right?
We all view chemistry differently but I think for most people it is either there or it is not and if you are not willing to go by anything other than possibly out dated pictures (mine are mostly very recent by the by) than why do we all spend so much time on the darn profile anyways?
Frankly I think Match is a great way to meet people and a lousy way to get to know someone better, to build a genuine relationship, but perhaps that is just my somewhat jaundiced view. However, as I told you before I have not given up on the 'Love Story'...I still think Ali McGraw is going to get better...I still in my heart of hearts believe that when I find her I will know her and she will know me and that tingling feeling in my tummy will last this time...
Here is something I believe in...Real growth in life, real accomplishment, real change from selfish youth to less selfish middle aged man/woman come from ignoring that tiny, whiney inner voice-a combination of fear/anxiety/insecurity...the one that tells you to stay home, don't talk to strangers, don't eat that, or drink this, or try that, or go there....I don't want that kind of woman in my life. You don't have to have trekked the Himalayas but I want you to be bold, bright, and as much as possible kind of beautiful too...inside and out. I want someone to travel with, make dinner with, kiss for hours, someone to just 'be' with as often as it feels right for us.
So let's begin the beguine, see where it takes us, trip the light fantastic, there is so much to gain and what have you really got to lose after all besides an hour of your precious (and I will agree it is indeed a precious) life...

I have somewhat of a stressful job, but look forward to relaxing and kicking back on weekends and vacations.
