THE PACIFIC COASTLINE HAS A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART. SPENDING LOTS OF TIME ON BEACHES FROM SANTA CRUZ TO THE DUNES AT PIZMO BEACH AND ALL POINTS IN BETWEEN. HOPING TO MEET A LADY WHO LIKES TO DO SIMILAR THINGS. I WOULD ALSO BE OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS, EXCEPT SKYDIVING.

Meet people from United States. Four years ago I left hot, humid Houston behind and arrived in this heaven known as the Bay Area. These hills never cease to leave me in awe, and I confess (rather shamefaced) that I regularly brag about the weather here. I've lived many places, but this is the first place I've ever felt like I never want to leave.
Most of the pictures on this site were taken the week of June 10, 2012. I would appreciate seeing current pictures of you (although I value what's beautiful on the inside far more than outward appearance).
People tell me I have a great sense of humor - and I do love to laugh (I hope you do, too) and find joy in life's simple pleasures. I have a bit of a wild streak lurking beneath years of corporate decorum that served to tame me and insures that I can mingle with the most proper of colleagues without making a fool of myself. But I still love a good adventure, people who take the road less traveled, and an occasional burst of spontaneity that can catch folks off-guard. I think you'll find me bright and articulate; but I can be very quiet - and I am an excellent listener. I enjoy enthusiastic, passionate, verbal people, but also appreciate those who are quiet, stand back a bit - quietly observe - contemplative thinkers.

Used to dance, years ago, and still have a special place in my heart for ballet. I have two guilty pleasures - watching SYTYCD and the Big Bang Theory. I managed health clubs prior to law school, so I appreciate the importance of working out - but now walking and light weights at home are my primary exercise. I'm up for the challenge if you want company doing more than that.
I value honesty and forthrightness, kindness and sincerity, and open communication - but I'm not looking for a boy scout. I want to meet someone who's lived life fully, but still wants more - adventures, theater, concerts, travel, good movies, good restaurants, will learn to ballroom dance (or teach me if you already know how), dancing cheek to cheek once in a while (do people still do that?!), but someone who is also perfectly happy curled up on the sofa reading a good book after cooking in. Speaking of cooking - I shop organic and natural as much as practical, no red meat in 30 years, and salmon and salad are on the top of my food pyramid. You can eat whatever pleases you - just please don't feed me chocolate - I'm a recovering chocoholic.
Yes, I confess to loving some of the finer things in life, but I will never put "things" before the people I love. I don't expect love at first sight (although I believe it can happen), and I do believe in soul mates, but accept that it often takes time to realize you are meant to be that one special love. And I am a bit of a hopeless romantic - love touching - can't imagine loving a man who didn't like to walk hand in hand. I like surprising someone and being surprised by little tokens of love, and I really like having the door held open (which I will likewise do for you when your hands are full!) I value fairness (which I've seen far too little of as a lawyer), and forgiveness (because none of us are perfect and we all make mistakes).
Last, but perhaps most important, I want you to know that I love my family - particularly my son (my only child), his wife, and my 4-year old grandson, and there is nothing I wouldn't do for them. It would please me to know that you also value and cherish your family. And I value my faith - God has given me strength and courage and wisdom and hope and love and great compassion, for which I'm very thankful.

I can be full of surprises, artistic/creative, spontaneous, determined, still sexy, and very independent although some may call it stubborn.
